Ahhhh… it is summer time, and my favorite time to read. And my favorite type of books to read. Give me a chair on the beach with a book, and I can be content for hours.\u00a0<\/p>

Today, I’m sharing some books I plan to read this summer in hopes to give you some inspiration. Most of these are by favorite authors and tried and true. So, fingers crossed, they don’t let me down with their newest reads.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I’m currently reading this one, “Things We Never Got Over<\/strong><\/a><\/span>” by Lucy Score. I just started it. It’s a thick book, but I feel like I’m reading it fairly quickly. This one is a series, so make sure you read this one first. Here’s what Amazon has to say.\u00a0<\/p>

Naomi wasn\u2019t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way\u2026with fists and beer. Usually in that order.<\/em><\/p>

Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn\u2019t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi\u2019s car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn\u2019t know she had. Now she\u2019s stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.<\/em><\/p>

There\u2019s a reason Knox doesn\u2019t do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi\u2019s life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.<\/em><\/p>

At least, that\u2019s the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.<\/em><\/p>

I love anything by Emily Henry, and am so excited about her new book\u00a0Happy Place<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. I can’t wait to dive into it!\u00a0<\/p>

Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college\u2014they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now\u2014for reasons they\u2019re still not discussing\u2014they don\u2019t.<\/em>

Last Summer, I LOVED her debut novel, Every Summer After<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. Which I keep hearing Christina Lauren has one very similar to that one.\u00a0<\/p>

I’ve heard mixed reviews about\u00a0Meet Me at the Lake<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, but I’m still planning to read it!\u00a0<\/p>

Fern\u00a0Brookbanks\u00a0has wasted far too much of her adult life thinking about Will Baxter. She spent just twenty-four hours in her early twenties with the aggravatingly attractive, idealistic artist, a chance encounter that spiraled into a daylong adventure in the city. The timing was wrong, but their connection was undeniable: they shared every secret, every dream, and made a pact to meet one year later. Fern showed up. Will didn\u2019t.<\/em>

I enjoy books by the Christina Lauren duo. I have read quite a few of their books. I’m excited to read\u00a0The True Love Experiment<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. It sounds like it’s the kind of book I’d be all about. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/p>

Felicity \u201cFizzy\u201d Chen is lost. Sure, she\u2019s got an incredible career as a beloved romance novelist with a slew of bestsellers under her belt, but when she\u2019s asked to give a commencement address, it hits her: she hasn\u2019t been practicing what she\u2019s preached.<\/em>

I have never read anything by this author, but she always has #1 hits. So, I added\u00a0Hello Beautiful<\/strong><\/span><\/a> by Ann Napolitano, to my to-read list this summer.\u00a0<\/p>

I read Nora Goes Off Script<\/span><\/strong><\/a> by Annabel Monaghan a few months ago, and I LOVED it! I thought it was so cute, and I loved all the characters and the plot.\u00a0<\/p>

So, looking at\u00a0Same Time Next Summer<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, it looks like another great, easy, cute summer read.\u00a0<\/p>

Beach Rules:<\/span><\/em>
Do take long walks on the sand.<\/span><\/em>
Do put an umbrella in every cocktail.<\/span><\/em>
Do NOT run into your first love.<\/span><\/em>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Sam\u2019s life is on track. She has the perfect doctor fianc\u00e9, Jack (his strict routines are a good thing, really), a great job in Manhattan (unless they fire her), and is about to tour a wedding venue near her family\u2019s Long Island beach house. Everything should go to plan, yet the minute she arrives, Sam senses something is off. Wyatt is here.\u00a0Her\u00a0Wyatt. But there\u2019s no reason for a thirty-year-old engaged woman to feel panicked around the guy who broke her heart when she was seventeen. Right?\u00a0<\/em>

I don’t think I’ve ever read anything by this author. But, anything that has Summer in the title always catches my attention. So,\u00a0Summer Reading<\/strong><\/span><\/a> just got added to my list. \ud83d\ude09\u00a0<\/p>

For Samantha Gale, a summer on Martha\u2019s Vineyard at her family\u2019s tiny cottage was supposed to be about resurrecting her career as a chef, until she\u2019s tasked with chaperoning her half-brother, Tyler. The teenage brainiac is spending his summer at the local library in a robotics competition, and there\u2019s no place Sam, who has dyslexia, likes less than the library. And because the universe hates her, the library\u2019s interim director turns out to be the hot-reader guy whose book she accidentally destroyed on the ferry ride to the island.<\/em><\/p>

Bennett Reynolds is on a quest to find his father, whose identity he\u2019s never known. The next two titles aren’t out yet. However, they are both tried and true favorite authors.\u00a0<\/p>

Elin Hilderbrand just screams Beach Read books to me! I always but her newest book in hardbacks every year, and I cherish all of them. However, her last one Hotel Nantucket, wasn’t a fave. Here’s looking at you ghost.\u00a0<\/p>

So, I’m already on the pre-order list for\u00a0The Five- Star Weekend<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and I can’t wait!!\u00a0<\/p>

Hollis Shaw\u2019s life seems picture-perfect. She\u2019s the creator of the popular food blog\u00a0Hungry with Hollis<\/span>\u00a0and is married to Matthew, a dreamy heart surgeon. But after she and Matthew get into a heated argument one snowy morning, he leaves for the airport and is killed in a car accident.
