I am by no means an expert on marriage. We have been married for 12 years and together for over 13, and I will say that we definitely have to work on it. There are some great days and some not so great days. And that’s okay. We have to be forgiving and give grace.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pretty early in our marriage, we read 5 Love Languages<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. This was a popular book during this time, and I wanted to be a dutiful wife and learn whatever I could to be the best I could be. We both read it and learned a lot about each other. We took the quizzes again about 5 years ago, and it’s amazing how they had changed some.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This book right here\u00a0The Total Money Makeover<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>was key to our marriage in the early years. We struggled in the beginning agreeing about money and budgeting. I definitely had more loose purse strings, and he was more of a tight wad. I can recall one time when I actually threw a napkin at him. I told him he better be thankful it wasn’t anything heavier. Bahaha! So, if you’re struggling to save money or just need some helpful tips, I would definitely recommend reading and following this.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It’s good to still date your spouse. We even enjoy a date with our daughter. We love going on adventures together and even just going on an afternoon car ride together.\u00a0<\/p>

It’s good to be silly and laugh. He definitely makes me laugh. Just make time for each other.\u00a0<\/p>

We try to watch TV or a movie on TV together, but this topic is often hard for us to agree on. Haha! I mean I tend to lean toward Rom-Com\/Romance, and he’s more of Thriller\/Action. We can usually agree on Dateline\/2020.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We also feel like it helps us if we each pray for each other, and we also enjoy going to church together.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I asked Joey to give me some insight, and he replies, “Just eventually give in and give them whatever each other wants”. Hahaha!! I do know that it does take communicating and being willing to give in sometimes. But not all the time. It’s definitely give and take.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
