Hello Friends!! \u2026 it is Summer time, and my favorite time to read! Summer Beachy reads are my favorite!! Give me the beach\/pool\/backyard, with a book, and I can be content for hours. I prefer reading books at night versus watching tv. It just resets and clears my mind of other thoughts.\u00a0<\/p>

Today, I\u2019m sharing some books I plan to read this summer in hopes to give you some inspiration. Most of these are by favorite authors and are favorite go-to. So, fingers crossed, they don\u2019t let me down with their newest reads.\u00a0<\/p>

Some of these books are already out, and some are coming out later this summer. I will specify.\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude09\"\u00a0<\/p>

I typically read books on my\u00a0Kindle Paperwhite<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0but lately, I will buy the physical books, so I can share with friends.\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude42\"<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I am currently reading Great Big Beautiful Life<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, and I am very much enjoying it! It\u2019s cute and there\u2019s tension between two main characters. I\u2019m sure it will be very predictable, but I am excited to see.\u00a0<\/p>


Alice Scott is an eternal optimist still dreaming of her big writing break. Hayden Anderson is a Pulitzer-prize winning human thundercloud. And they\u2019re both on balmy Little Crescent Island for the same reason: to write the biography of a woman no one has seen in years\u2014or at least to meet with the octogenarian who claims to be\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Margaret Ives. Tragic heiress, former tabloid princess, and daughter of one of the most storied (and scandalous) families of the twentieth century.<\/em>

When Margaret invites them both for a one-month trial period, after which she\u2019ll choose the person who\u2019ll tell her story, there are three things keeping Alice\u2019s head in the game.<\/em>

One: Alice genuinely likes people, which means people usually like Alice\u2014and she has a whole month to win the legendary woman over.<\/em>

Two: She\u2019s ready for this job and the chance to impress her perennially unimpressed family with a Serious Publication.<\/em>

Three: Hayden Anderson, who should have no reason to be concerned about losing this book, is glowering at her in a shaken-to-the core way that suggests he sees her as competition.<\/em>

But the problem is, Margaret is only giving each of them pieces of her story. Pieces they can\u2019t swap to put together because of an ironclad NDA and an inconvenient yearning pulsing between them every time they\u2019re in the same room.<\/em>

And it\u2019s becoming abundantly clear that their story\u2014just like the tale Margaret\u2019s spinning\u2014could be a mystery, tragedy, or love ballad . . . depending on who\u2019s telling it.<\/em><\/p>

Carley Fortune has been a favorite author ever since I read her debut title, Every Summer After<\/strong> <\/a><\/span>, year’s ago. I was hooked. I always get her newest books every year and look forward to them. I’m very excited to read this one, One Golden Summer<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>

Good things happen at the lake. That\u2019s what Alice\u2019s grandmother says, and it\u2019s true. Alice spent just one summer there at a cottage with Nan when she was seventeen\u2014it\u2019s where she took that photo, the one of three grinning teenagers in a yellow speedboat, the image that changed her life.<\/em>

Now Alice lives behind a lens. As a photographer, she\u2019s most comfortable on the sidelines, letting other people shine. Lately though, she\u2019s been itching for something more, and when Nan falls and breaks her hip, Alice comes up with a plan for them both: another summer in that magical place, Barry\u2019s Bay. But as soon as they settle in, their peace is disrupted by the roar of a familiar yellow boat, and the man driving it.<\/em>

Charlie Florek was nineteen when Alice took his photo from afar. Now he\u2019s all grown up\u2014a shameless flirt, who manages to make Nan laugh and Alice long to be seventeen again, when life was simpler, when taking pictures was just for fun. I always love Abby Jimenez’s books. They’re typically rom-com and very cute chick lit, feel-good books.\u00a0Say You’ll Remember Me<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is on my list to read.\u00a0<\/p>

There’s no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes\u2014all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there\u2019s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.<\/em>

But after one incredible and seemingly endless date, Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be. Only no amount of distance or time is enough to forget what’s between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life\u2014and even a love\u2014worth remembering.<\/em><\/p>

Katherine Center’s,\u00a0The Love Haters<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, popped up on my Amazon, and I remembered reading a couple of her books in the past, and really liking them. I remember her books being a little meatier with some twists and turns and not so predictable.\u00a0<\/p>

Katie Vaughn has been burned by love in the past\u2015now she may be lighting her career on fire. She has two choices: wait to get laid off from her job as a video producer or, at her coworker Cole\u2019s request, take a career-making gig profiling Tom \u201cHutch\u201d Hutcheson, a Coast Guard rescue swimmer in Key West. The catch? Katie\u2019s not exactly qualified. She can\u2019t swim\u2015but pretends that she can.<\/em>

Plus, Cole and Hutch are brothers. And they don\u2019t get along. Next stop: paradise! But paradise is messier than it seems. As Katie gets entangled with Hutch (the most scientifically good-looking man she has ever seen . . . but maybe a bit of a love hater), along with his colorful aunt Rue and his rescue Great Dane, she gets trapped in a lie. Or two.<\/em>

Swim lessons, helicopter flights, conga lines, drinking contests, hurricanes, and stolen kisses ensue\u2015along with chances to tell the truth, to face old fears, and to be truly brave at last.<\/em><\/p>

Kristy Woodson Harvey is another author I always go-to for summer reads. I always enjoy the characters and the plot of her novels. I can’t wait to dive into this one.\u00a0Beach House Rules<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>

When Charlotte Sitterly\u2019s husband is arrested for a white-collar crime, she and her daughter Iris are locked out of their house by the FBI and\u2014what\u2019s potentially even worse\u2014thrust into the spotlight of @JuniperShoresSocialite, the town\u2019s snarky anonymous Instagram account. Cut off from her bank accounts and feeling desperate, Charlotte takes up an acquaintance\u2019s offer to stay at a beachfront former bed-and-breakfast that\u2019s home to a community of single mothers and draws\u00a0plenty<\/span>\u00a0of gossip in the small coastal North Carolina town.<\/em>

Nancy Thayer’s books are quintessential summer reading. I miss all of Elin Hilderbrand’s books, but when I get to thinking about those, I sway to Nancy. I enjoy reading about Nantucket.\u00a0 Summer Light on Nantucket<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>

Blythe Benedict is content. Her life didn\u2019t end when her marriage did. In fact, she\u2019s more than happy living in her comfortable house in Boston, working as a middle school teacher, and raising four wonderful children. With three of her kids in the throes of teenagerhood and one not too far behind them, Blythe has plenty of drama to keep her busy every single day.<\/em>

But no amount of that drama could change the family\u2019s beloved annual summer trip to Nantucket. Blythe has always treasured the months spent at her island home-away-from-home, and has fond memories of her children growing up there. But this summer\u2019s getaway proves to be much more than she bargained for.<\/em>

Yes, there are sunny days enjoyed at the beach. But Blythe must contend with teenage angst, her ex-mother-in-law\u2019s declining health, and a troubling secret involving her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Blythe reconnects with her first love, her former high school sweetheart Aaden. Funny enough, tonight I’m going with some friends to a book event that features Meghan Quinn and her newest book,\u00a0Til Summer Do Us Part<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. It just came out yesterday, and the storyline sounds very cute.\u00a0<\/p>

Scottie Price just started a new job, and it’s a real sausage fest. She’s the only woman on a team filled with Brads and Chads. Expecting a bachelor pad atmosphere, she is quickly corrected when she finds out everyone is happily married.<\/em><\/p>

In an effort to impress her boss, Scottie mentions her nonexistent husband in a company meeting. But eagle-eyed Chad points out her lack of wedding ring. Panicked, Scottie creates a story about her unhappy marriage. Unfortunately for Scottie, her boss has a solution\u2015a one-on-one session with the best marriage counselor in the Northeast, who happens to be her boss’s husband.<\/em><\/p>

With no way out of her lie, Scottie agrees to see him. Frantic, she calls in help from her best friend who sets her up with his brother, an improv-obsessed millionaire.<\/em><\/p>

Enter Wilder Wells. More than happy to take on the job, he teaches Scottie the main rule of improv: always say yes. But the rule backfires during the session when Wilder signs them up for an eight-day summer marriage camp with all of Scottie’s co-workers where she’ll have to share a cabin with her way-too-handsome fake husband.<\/em><\/p>

I haven’t ever read anything by this author, but this title popped up as similar reads with good reviews! The story sounds cute, so I will try to read it!\u00a0Problematic Summer Romance<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>

Maya Killgore is twenty-three and still in the process of figuring out her life.<\/em><\/p>

Conor Harkness is thirty-eight, and Maya cannot stop thinking about him.<\/em><\/p>

It\u2019s such a clich\u00e9, it almost makes her heart implode: older man and younger woman; successful biotech guy and struggling grad student; brother\u2019s best friend and the girl he never even knew existed. As Conor loves to remind her, the power dynamic is too imbalanced. Any relationship between them would be problematic in too many ways to count, and Maya should just get over him. This book isn’t a strictly summer read, but I enjoy reading Lucy Score, and I haven’t read her latest novel, Story of my Life<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. Hopefully, I can get this one read too.\u00a0<\/p>

Hazel Hart was a successful romance novelist until a breakup drives her straight into writer’s block. Having failed (and failed some more) to deliver her new manuscript, she’s hiding from the world behind a wall of old takeout containers until her publisher lays down the law. If she misses her next deadline it’s The End.<\/em><\/p>

Desperate for inspiration, Hazel impulse-buys a historic home online and flees Manhattan to tiny Story Lake, PA. Upon her dramatic arrival\u2015involving an incident with a bald eagle\u2015she discovers the charm of her new home may have been slightly exaggerated.<\/em><\/p>

The house is a wreck and the town is struggling after their biggest employer shut down. Also, since her raccoon-infested home came with a seat on the town council our introverted heroine is stuck with a front row seat to all the small-town shenanigans.<\/em><\/p>

But Hazel isn’t worried. Not since all six-feet-three inches of grouchy contractor Campbell Bishop slapped a bandage on her forehead and unintentionally inspired the heck out of her. There’s only one thing to do: Hire Cam and his equally gorgeous brothers to renovate her new spider museum\u2026er\u2026house.<\/em><\/p>

Okay two things. A fake date for “research purposes” will really put her work-in-progress on track. Before Hazel knows it, she’s writing a romance novel and living one. At least until the drywall dust settles, the town she’s falling in love with faces bankruptcy, and growly Cam remembers why he can’t live happily ever after.<\/em><\/p>
