**What’s up Wednesday** {9.29.2021}
It’s the last Wednesday of the month. Today, I’m linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately. I cannot believe September is over. The school year is just flying by.
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
Sunday: Fish and Shrimp, Brussels Sprouts
Monday: Chili (Yay for slow cooker weather! Here’s my favorite one.)
Tuesday: Baked Chicken Drumettes, Broccoli & Rice Casserole
Wednesday: Leftover Chili
Thursday: Leftover Chicken
Friday: Eating at Camp
Saturday: Grilled Steaks with Baked Potatoes & Grilled Vegetables
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
Settle in because I have quite a few memories to share.
This was from 4 years ago. Look at those sweet cheeks.
These memories when we went to Disney 3 years ago kept popping up. They were really making me want to go back to Disney.
This was from 2 years ago when we went to visit Caroline and the sweet, new twins. Oh my goodness… time is a thief.
And 2 years ago when we all went to the beach.
3. What I’m Loving:
I’m loving the cooler temps which are starting to feel like Fall weather!
I’m also still loving my Victoria Emerson bracelets.
The Manda Bracelet and the Dean Bracelet are perfect for adding accessories to any outfit.
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
Earlier this month, we went to the apple farm and enjoyed all the things and activities.
We have enjoyed some beautiful weather outside.
Last week, me and Addison went to the beach with my parents. We had an awesome time! I’ll share all about our trip in a later post. 🙂
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on getting interventions together for ELA and Math, as well as this blog post.
7. What I’m Excited About:
I am so excited about all the Fall Festivities we have coming up. Excited to cross things off our Fall Bucket List!
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
Joey and I are still watching Ted Lasso and loving it! We are almost through Season 2.
I know I’m late to the game, but I am slowly going through Big Little Lies. It is definitely Rated R. I’m not sure if I like it yet. It definitely has the drama.
I read Sally Hepworth’s “The Good Sister” earlier this month. It was a little slow to me. I typically enjoy Sally Hepworth’s novels, so that’s why I snagged this one to read. Here’s the synopsis. It definitely has some twists and turns and a shocking ending.
There’s only been one time that Rose couldn’t stop me from doing the wrong thing and that was a mistake that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Fern Castle works in her local library. She has dinner with her twin sister Rose three nights a week. And she avoids crowds, bright lights and loud noises as much as possible. Fern has a carefully structured life and disrupting her routine can be…dangerous.
When Rose discovers that she cannot get pregnant, Fern sees her chance to pay her sister back for everything Rose has done for her. Fern can have a baby for Rose. She just needs to find a father. Simple.
Fern’s mission will shake the foundations of the life she has carefully built for herself and stir up dark secrets from the past, in this quirky, rich and shocking story of what families keep hidden.
I started reading “Not a Happy Family” over my Fall Break. It is so good! As the title says, the family is not happy. Shocker, I know. It’s an easy read that I didn’t want to put down. I wanted to know who did it.
Brecken Hill in upstate New York is an expensive place to live. You have to be rich to have a house there, and Fred and Sheila Merton certainly are rich. But even all their money can’t protect them when a killer comes to call. The Mertons are brutally murdered after a fraught Easter dinner with their three adult kids. Who, of course, are devastated.
Or are they? They each stand to inherit millions. They were never a happy family, thanks to their vindictive father and neglectful mother, but perhaps one of the siblings is more disturbed than anyone knew. Did someone snap after that dreadful evening? Or did another person appear later that night with the worst of intentions? That must be what happened. After all, if one of the family were capable of something as gruesome as this, you’d know.
9. What I’m Listening To:
Right now I’m listening to something on Netflix in the background that Joey is watching.
10. What I’m Wearing:
I ordered this shirt from Amazon a few weeks ago, and it’s been perfect to wear on these warmer Fall days.
I am still loving this color block shirt from Amazon. Mine is the Navy, Coffee, and Brown one.
Wit & Wisdom Girlfriend Jeans (Mine are the light wash, but they’re out of stock right now.)
How cute is this graphic tee, from Amazon, to wear this Fall. I love all the colors, but I especially love it in the dark orange.
These side slit booties are giving me all the feels. And, they’re only $39.99 on Jane.
These cute seasonal tees from Jane are right up my ali way. 😉
You can’t ever go wrong with the Loft. Right now they’re having the buy more save more event. Buy 3+ styles, get 50% off. Buy 2 styles get 40% off. Buy 1 style, get 30% off.
Code: OBSESSED
Go grab some cute sweaters for wearing to the apple and pumpkin farms or just lounging around on a Sunday afternoon. 😉
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
We are going camping, to the mountains, this weekend, and I am down for it! The weather is supposed to be beautiful!
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Next month we are looking forward to all the Fall festivals. We have lots of pumpkin things planned. Also looking forward to Halloween!
13. What Else is New:
I saw this meme, and it spoke to me. Haha!
Thank you all for reading. I truly am thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!

I love a good slow cooker chili. Instead of using multiple seasonings, I use a package of taco seasoning — so easy and so good. Also, I just finished rereading Big Little Lies (the book) and started the show. The book is much better, in my opinion! I’m still waiting on Not A Happy Family from my library, but I can’t wait to read it after all the rave reviews I’ve seen. Happy Wednesday!

I will have to try that with my chili. Thanks for the info. I just need to read the book. 😉
