**Friday Favorites** {7.22.2022}

Hey Hey Friday!!! Where has the summer gone? Today is my last official day of summer break. On Monday, I start my 15th year of teaching. I’m sad that our easy mornings and days are over, but I’m excited to get back into a routine and see those sweet little ones.

We got home from the beach on Monday evening. We quickly unpacked and repacked because Tuesday we headed to the lake house for an overnight girl’s night. I’ll share our beach vacation at a later date. 

We arrived at the lake house a little after lunch on Tuesday and got settled in. Addison & Aunt Dot played a game of tic-tac-toe. Addison wanted a picture with the chief. 

We sat on the porch for a while just catching up then we walked down to the dock. 

We were getting hungry and headed to eat mexican and get some delicious drinks. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! I thought Britney was going to jump on stage for some karaoke. Love my girls! 

When we got back to the house, we headed out for an evening boat ride. The weather was perfect! 

We got back and laughed until our stomachs hurt some more. We rewatched the last few episodes of Virgin River, so we were ready for the new season this week. 

The next morning, we got up, had so many flashback conversations trying to remember who we lived with and when and other stories from the past. They had to head back to reality. I snuck out on the porch to read for a bit. So perfect! 

We went to shop a bit, grab some lunch, then headed back to the house so Addison could swim. We had so much fun, like always. Can’t wait until our next trip over!

Last night, Addison had open house. Oh my stars, I can’t believe she’s going to Kindergarten! She’s so excited, and we are ready for a great year with Mrs. Lindsey! 

A lot of my things have arrived from the Nordstrom sale. These shirred Zella shorts were a different kind of find. They’re popular right now. I’m not used to having biker shorts underneath, but I like it. It holds you in and gives you support. Plus they have pockets!!

I’ve been lazy and haven’t taken the time to snap pictures in these next few items. I will try to take some over the weekend and post for Monday. 

I grabbed a new pair of these black Wit & Wisdom Ankle Skinny Jeans. I love wearing these to school. They’re so great to dress up or dress down, and they’re so stretchy and comfortable!

This Madewell Henley Sweater is so cute and soft! I love the watermelon color, but there are lots of other really pretty colors. I think the buttons add an extra detail to the sweater. 

I grabbed these Itty Bitty Bootcut jeans in white in the Spring, and I wore them all the time! When I saw the denim ones were going to be part of the sale, I was so excited and knew I had to have them! Sometimes you need something besides skinny jeans to wear and these are the perfect thing.

I also grabbed this Wacoal Wire-Free T-shirt bra. It’s so soft and great for just throwing on. I grabbed it in the Rose Dust color. Sorry, you’re not going to see me modeling it. 😉 

Now, we are off to enjoy our last day! We need to do some school shopping and relaxing. Addison starts soccer tomorrow, so we are excited about that! I hope ya’ll have a great weekend! Try to stay cool!
