**Hello Monday** {10.24.2022}
We started off our Friday with picking up an energy tea on our way to Addison’s field trip to the Art Barn.
When we arrived, it was a whopping 36 degrees. Brrr…. Mrs. Lindsey couldn’t make it, but sweet Mrs. Jill, came in her place.
Our first rotation was the wagon ride around the farm learning about manure and compost.
Our second station was Art. Sweet Henry and Addison. And I snapped a pic with his Mama, Jessica. We also work together at the same school.
Our next rotation was learning about the hens, roosters and lots of other farm animals.
The last rotation was with Farmer Sue where she taught them about the honeybee and pollination.
We had a great day with her classmates. We had a quick picnic lunch then headed to….
A neighboring pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun searching for the perfect pumpkin. It was great coming on a weekday. So much less crowded than the weekend.
We left there and headed to run some errands. We went in Academy to search for some basketball clothes but didn’t really see anything.
We left there and headed to Crumbl Cookie. Oh my! So good! Do you guys have one of these near you? It’s dangerous. 😉
We barely made it home, changed clothes, and I had to head to my school to work at the Fall Festival. It was crazy crowded, but the girls had so much fun! I loved seeing lots of my sweet students current and former.
We grabbed CFA on the way home, ran through the shower and were in bed. It had been a super fun, but long, exhausting day!
The next morning, Joey had to go work on my cousin’s heat. Meanwhile, I worked on cleaning, laundry, and tidying up. When I finished, we started making her Haunted House. She was super excited! I think she ate more candy than she put on! Ha!
We finished the house and headed to practice some basketball at a neighboring school. The goal was really high, but we still worked on some skills.
I have been wanting to try a new burger place at our new Mill area. We decided to try it out. Addison gave it two thumbs up. Especially the pickle.
When we got home, we decided to carve our pumpkin. I feel like a lot of years we run out of time and don’t ever get to carve, so I was excited to do this! And so was Addison.
Question… do ya’ll carve the top or bottom of the pumpkin? I have always carved the top, but saw all these influencers who said to do the bottom. We tried it from the bottom. And, I feel like it was a success.
Smiling with the pumpkin. Then she wanted another picture with Lucky.
Sunday, we were up and ready and out the door for church. We decided to go ride around in the mountains and look at leaves after. So the dilemma of where to eat lunch ensued. I told Joey that I would give in and agree to McDonalds only because they had the Halloween buckets, which took me back to my childhood. If you know me at all, I don’t like McDonalds, at all. So this was a big thing for me to agree to go there. LOL
As we drove around, the leaves were gorgeous. I enjoyed the day with my little family. Even though Joey said all I did was gripe at him. Haha! Love ya honey!
Now it’s off to school I go… I hope ya’ll are having a great start to your week! I’ll be back here on Wednesday for our What’s up Wednesday link-up.
