Hello Monday Holiday Weekend Recap

**Hello Monday** {7.7.2025}

Happy Happy Monday, friends!! How was your weekend?

Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our fun-filled Holiday weekend.

Joey was off for the holiday on Friday. We headed up to go watch the parade.

It’s a tradition. And it’s a great small town feel. I think it was less busy this year.

Love my patriotic family!

We made it home and chillaxed a bit.

We invited Joey’s Dad & Christy over for a cookout. We loved spending this time together!

That evening, we headed to our town to get a spot for the Fireworks show. We met up with Cindy and her family. Some other friends joined us, and the girls loved it!

One of the moms found these on her phone later. They are just too much. Haha!

Saturday morning, I was up early enjoying my coffee when I noticed some furry friends right outside. I’m surprised Milo didn’t spot them.

We decided to go ride around in the mountains. Milo drove…haha! jk

I have been wanting to go to Alexander’s for years! It’s about a 2 hour drive, and we don’t go that way often. So, when I found out we were going to be close, I was super excited to stop!

It was very crowded!

We headed over to Vogel State Park for a picnic and some exploring.

We weren’t very prepared, but Addison really wanted to get in the creek. Thankfully, we had her Crocs in the car. She even sweet talked Joey into going in.

After splashing a bit, we headed to walk the lakeside trail.

So pretty and peaceful!

The spillway pours over into a pretty waterfall on the lower side.

On the other side of the lake, we stopped by the little beach area. We didn’t stay long though because we still had some more places we wanted to see.

We left there and headed over to Dick’s Creek. The road was pretty messy. Some cars were leery of the holes.

Apparently not too many people because once we got over to the falls, it was very busy!

We left there and were getting a little hungry. We headed toward Dahlonega, and I was trying to search some dog friendly places.

I was excited to find that Shenanigan’s on the square was dog friendly on their outside patio.

It was shaded and very comfortable.

We walked around downtown a little after and then headed to get a sweet treat. Milo was very excited to get a pup cup.

This dress, from Amazon, just delivered last night. I didn’t have a chance to press it, but I wanted to show it to you because it’s so stylish! And it has pockets. It’s lined and has smocking along the back, so it’s very comfortable. And the straps are adjustable. I ordered the Striped White Khaki, but it comes in many different colors and prints.

  1. 4th of July parades are so much fun and just nostalgic! Especially in small towns. Adorable photos! Is that your backyard? I love that space! What kind of stuff did you find at Alexanders? Looks like a fun place to shop. It looks like you all had a great weekend and I love the adventure you went on!

    1. Thanks, Crystal! We had a great weekend! Alexanders has everything. It’s a huge store! – home decor & furniture, clothing for women, men and kids, shoes, and the bottom floor had sporting goods and firearms/ammunition.
