what's up wednesday new graphic

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: Mom cooked for us. BBQ Ribs, Cheesy Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts

Monday: Grilled Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Goodles (For Addison), Broccoli/Cauliflower

Tuesday: Lasagna with salad

Wednesday: Leftover Chicken

Thursday: Leftover Lasagna

Friday: Bingo Night at School! We will pick up something quick.

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

Oh goodness… I was looking back at these memories from 2020 when everything kind of stopped and slowed down. We were all home together and made lots of memories.

3. What I’m Loving:

We are loving these Spring temperatures… in the low 80s and 70s.

We are NOT loving the yellow pollen that comes with it.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

Addison started Volleyball and is loving it!

We have loved seeing our girl perform this month.  She was in her Dance Academy’s Finding Nemo show. It was fantastic!

The girls had a digital learning day. Mom stayed with them, while I went to work. The enjoyed lots of pampering and movie/popcorn time.

Her second performance was in the school’s The Lion King Jr. Again another fantastic performance!!

We had a morning of Donuts with grownups at school.

Addison got sick and is now thankfully on the mend.

I snapped this pic of these two cuties.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not dreading anything right now.

6. What I’m Working On:

I’ve been working on planning for Standardized Testing at our school, vacation planning, and this blog post.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we have planned the next few weeks!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I finally finished reading Counting Miracles by Nicholas Sparks. It was very good, and I would highly recommend it! I’ve been reading Nicholas Sparks books for years and years, and this one reminded me of some of his earlier novels!

Tanner Hughes was raised by his grandparents, following in his grandfather’s military footsteps to become an Army Ranger. His whole life has been spent abroad, and he is the proverbial rolling stone: happiest when off on his next adventure, zero desire to settle down.  But when his grandmother passes away, her last words to him are find where you belong. She also drops a bombshell, telling him the name of the father he never knew—and where to find him.

Tanner is due at his next posting soon, but his curiosity is piqued, and he sets out for Asheboro, North Carolina, to ask around. He’s been in town less than twenty-four hours when he meets Kaitlyn Cooper, a doctor and single mom. They both feel an immediate connection; Tanner knows Kaitlyn has a story to tell, and he wants to hear it. To Kaitlyn, Tanner is mysterious, exciting—and possibly leaving in just a few weeks.

Meanwhile, nearby, eighty-three-year-old Jasper lives alone in a cabin bordering a national forest. With only his old dog, Arlo, for company, he lives quietly, haunted by a tragic accident that took place decades before. When he hears rumors that a white deer has been spotted in the forest—a creature of legend that inspired his father and grandfather—he becomes obsessed with protecting the deer from poachers.

As these characters’ fates orbit closer together, none of them is expecting a miracle . . . but that may be exactly what is about to alter their futures forever.

Joey and I watched Love Story, earlier this month, and it was so great! I loved all the characters and music!

I have recently started watching Virgin River’s newest season. I’m secretly very glad Mike & Brie broke up. I’ve always rooted for Brady and Brie to make it work! Mel & Jack still somewhat annoy me, but I try to just not pay attention too much to them. They are just boring to me.

9. What I’m Listening To:

Not a thing at the moment.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I have been wearing a lot of bright colors to welcome Spring! Loving all the THML tops! I can’t find my exact one to link.

Shop the THML Shop  on Avara!

And my boot… but thankful I’m off of it full time, as long as my foot still feels ok.

These Sam Edelman sandals are very stylish! I love the suede and the gold buckle.

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

We have Bingo night at school and Volleyball games on Saturday.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

A girl’s beach trip! Easter and Spring Break! Plus can’t wait to have warmer weather!!

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

This Tatcha Serum stick is all the rage on my Social Media stories. It is claimed to do amazing things for your skin and better for applying makeup to help smooth out those fine lines.

  1. Just finished Virgin River – I agree with the Mel and Jack statement, more so Jack annoying me than Mel. I’m curious how they carry over for the new season.
