**Hello Monday** Addison’s Birthday Weekend {11.15.2021}
Today is a special day. Today, at 11:16 pm, 5 years ago, Addison Faith Hughes was born. She had a wild entrance into this world and has not slowed down since. She came screaming out and hasn’t stopped. We prayed for her for a long time and God answered our prayers.
She is spunky and full of personality. She keeps us rolling with her funny sayings. We are truly blessed she is in our lives. Some days are hard. But the saying is so true… The days are long, but the years are short.
I’m sharing about our weekend recap which includes her birthday party, and then I’ll do a little throwback to year’s past.
I started off my Friday by getting a little pedicure. My legs and feet needed some TLC.
Friday night, Mom came over, and we tackled some tasks to prepare for the party on Saturday.
Saturday, we were up early and getting everything ready. Her theme was Disney Princess. The bounce house/slide arrived early. So, we all went out to enjoy it before everyone got there.
I even snapped pictures of my Mom & Dad going down the slide.
I snagged a few pictures of the cake and food before everyone got there.
Adalynn was the first to arrive. So, the girls got in to jump right away.
And then everyone else arrived.
So many sweet friends came.
And then everyone was gone. I saw this on social media, and it is so true. I’m thankful for my tribe.
After everyone left, Addison enjoyed trying on some of her presents and getting her Daddy to paint her nails/toenails. Mom and I did a last spin on the bounce house, and I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time.
Here’s a little walk down memory lane. This was last year at her 4th Unicorn party.
For her 3rd birthday, we did a Farm theme.
When she was 2, she was all about Elmo. So, we had an Elmo themed party.
For her first birthday, we had Addison in One-derland. That one was so fun to plan.
And here are all her sweet newborn pictures when she was only a few days old.
I guess the party really did Addison in because all Saturday evening/night she kept coughing really bad. She woke up with a slight fever Sunday morning. We took her to Urgent Care just to get her checked out, and she has Bronchial-itis. So, no school for her or me today. I guess we will be partying hard at home today. I’m thinking I might even put up some Christmas decorations and the tree.
Last night, we did work on disguising her turkey. She chose to do a Ballerina because she thought it would fit in with our dancing family since she does ballet. 😉
Our sweet girl’s last night as a 4 year old.
That’s all for today. Thank you all so much for stopping by. Come back on Wednesday! I’m sharing some Gift Guides for Christmas. I hope you all have a festive start to your week! 5 days and counting until Thanksgiving break!
