**Hello Monday** {3.7.2022}
Well, Hello Monday! Can’t believe you’re already here. We had a fabulously fun weekend. Today, I’m doing a quick recap.
Friday, we had a special author, Bonnie Clark, close out our Read Across America week. She read her book, “Taste Your Words“. It was super cute! I would definitely order this for my classroom, if I still had my own classroom. I may even order it to read to Addison.
Some teacher “volunteers” had to do a Jelly Bean Boozled challenge. They didn’t know what flavor they got until after chewing the jelly bean. It was hilarious, and we were thankful we didn’t get voluntold. 😉
Friday, one of my teacher friends had some of my past students doing some really fun things with the Osmo on the iPads. They loved it!
Meanwhile, at Addison’s school, she had green eggs and ham. She said “Mommy, I didn’t eat it at all. Yuck”. Ha!
After leaving school, Addison and I ran to the grocery store quickly because we wanted to get out and enjoy the sunshine. She worked on some coloring, while I got things ready for our picnic.
We ran and grabbed some pizza at Your Pie. Joey & I ate their cauliflower crust, and it was actually quite tasty.
We got the pizza to go and headed to the park for our picnic. We did some bike riding, soccer playing, and playground time. This was Addison’s second time without training wheels, and she’s getting better every time.
Saturday morning, we decided to take off riding a little bit. We walked around in Ellijay for a little while popping in some shops.
Addison kept begging to go to the park, so we obliged. This was her third time riding, and she did so good! We were so proud of her!
Here we are just cruising around. He’s giving me “the look”. 😉
I kept hearing Reba McIntyre’s “I’d rather ride around with you” while we were driving. Throwback to the 90s.
We made our way over to “The Steakhouse”. I have been hearing about this place for a while, and we have been wanting to try it. We finally made it. We were very impressed, and I’m sure we will be back! Too bad it’s about an hour’s drive from where we live.
And with gas prices like this, we aren’t going to be doing too many more road trips. Ugh!
Yesterday, we went to church, then did a Costco run for fuel, and a Target run for grocery pick up. We celebrated with my parent’s last night. Yesterday was their 40th Wedding Anniversary, so we were happy to celebrate with them.
That’s it for our weekend. We have a busy upcoming week and many busy upcoming weekends. Here’s to all the Spring sports and events starting. Have a fabulous day!

I can’t beleive the gas prices either. When we moved to Chattanooga (October 2020) from NE Ohio ( Between Cleveland and Pittsburgh) the price of gas was $1.58. I heard it may go up to $7. Lord help us, our world is falling apart. Ugh!!!
We missed Sunday mass but we did make it to Ash Wednesday! I was brought up that way and want Joey to grow up like that too 😘
Congratulations to your Mom and Dad. We always celebrated with my parents too. They made it to 51 years before my Dad past in 2017 from liver/renal failure due to complications from Diabetes and then Mom in 2019 from Pancreatic Cancer. I was such a Daddy’s girl and so close to both of them. My MIL died in between them in 2018 from Breast Cancer. I hope your parents live to be 100. Enjoy them and make ALL the memories.
Be Blessed,
Jodi

I have heard $7 too! So depressing. We are all going to be biking everywhere! Too bad our work is about 30 miles one way trip. 🙁
That’s great! It really is the best for kids to be involved and attend church at a young age.
I’m so sorry and thank you! They really are very special to us, and we try to spend as much time with them as we can. You just never know how long they will be around. Many Blessings to you!
