February 10, 2020/Comments Off on **Weekend Recap** We got snow! {2.10.2020}
Happy Monday!! Wow, what crazy weather we have had around here. One day we are in shorts, one day we are rowing a boat because of all the rain, then the next day we are building a snowman. Crazy GA weather.
We started off Friday with a few snow flurries. We wanted to let our students go play, so we got our work done fast and let them go run around in it for a few minutes. I snapped these shots! They were so excited!!
Saturday morning, we woke up around 7:30. The weatherman had been saying it was going to snow, but at 7:30 in the morning, there wasn’t anything, not even a flurry. However, by 8:00 it had started.
Then it was really coming down by mid-morning and really accumulating. We hurried to get our snow gear on, so we could go out and play. These are the poses I got.
They headed out, and I got ready.
They were making a little snowman.
Joey pulled Addison and that laugh was contagious! She was loving life!
We walked around the yard and tried to slide down the hill. Then, Addison played on her playground.
It was beautiful!
I made some snow cream. I remember making this with Mom and my Nanny when I was little. It definitely took me back to when I was little. #makingmemories
We decided to make the drive to see my Papa and Jojo. The road wasn’t too bad with a 4 wheel drive truck, but we didn’t stay out too late because we knew the roads would freeze back over tonight.
We took the long way home. Addison snuggled up and took a nice, long nap by the fire after lots of playing. #wornout
We all snuggled in Saturday night, and Joey went to pick us up BBQ for dinner.
Sunday morning, we slept in. I did some meal prepping for the week. Addison was singing “Let it go”, and it sparked an idea. A lot of the snow had melted since yesterday, but it was still cute.
Here’s our “Elsa” singing “Let it go”.
Sunday afternoon, we did some store hopping. We came home, and I made a very southern meal.
Fried Chicken, Mac N’ Cheese, Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes
I used chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken. It turned out just fine.
That was it for our weekend. We spent our Sunday night getting everything ready for the week. We’ve got a very busy week. I better get to it. Have a wonderful week! See you back here on Wednesday for our next Let’s Look!
