**Hello Monday** {9.30.2024}

Happy Monday friends!! After 4 days off of school due to Hurricane Helene, we are back to it today. The devastation has been horrible. We are very, very lucky to not have had any damage. I’m praying for so many that were affected.

Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

Thursday night, we all snuggled in to watch the new Inside Out 2 movie. It was cute.

Friday, I worked on some school work and typing up meeting notes. I also went ahead and got all the house work and laundry completed. However, now, I am thinking all the things I didn’t get to and wish I would have.

Saturday morning, we had a slow morning.

Around mid morning we decided to go ahead and get our errands and shopping done. We went to Target, Costco, Ingles and Publix. Joey was so thrilled. Haha!

We took all the things back home and had a slow afternoon of reading and chilling.

We ate at Izumi Chinese for dinner, and it was delicious! I ended up ordering Hibachi Chicken, and it was great!

Sunday morning, we decided to have a family fun day and head to Ellijay to some apple barns and orchards.

We headed to R & A orchards first to get some sweets and treats.

Then we went to Hillcrest Orchards for some perusing.

Finally we ended up at our favorite, BJ Reece Orchards. We were a little early before they opened, so we chilled in the car for a few minutes.

A lot of the apples were on the ground. I think it was from the storm.

We walked through the petting zoo and Addison enjoyed the corn pit.

Addison was a great photographer. 😉

Love my little family.

Unfortunately, we had to leave right after this picture and didn’t make it to the Wagon Ride or any of the other things because it started raining. Booo!! Glad we got to pay and walk around.. even if it was for only 20 minutes. Haha!

My parents finally returned from their North Eastern trip on Saturday. We ate dinner with them last night and enjoyed hearing all about their trip. They brought us lots of treats and tshirts. 🙂

I hope you have a great start to your week, friends!

Hurricane Helene sounds awful. Thinking of all of those affected.
I watched Inside Out 2 last week and loved it, it is such a sweet movie.
The orchards look a great place to visit!
    What a lovely weekend.

We love visiting Ellijay and I’m sure it’s beautiful in the fall. Our area was hit hard by Helene, but we’ve been out of the country so missed some of the heartache and challenges. Our neighbors checked on our home and property and said things were okay. We were without power several days, but our neighborhood finally has it restored. Many in our town are not as lucky, and the nearby NC mountain towns are absolutely devastated. It’s so sad and I’m anxious to get home now and see for myself how things look.

Oh I know, Joyce! The widespread damage is just unreal. The challenge to get to the communities is so baffling to me. I’m glad you guys weren’t home, but I know how uneasy that definitely makes you feel also. I’m glad your neighbors let you know that all was well. I’m thinking of you and your state during this recovery time.
