Let's Look At...

**Let’s Look At… Things We Outsource Without Regret** {1.14.2026}

Happy Wednesday Friends!! How’s your week going? I can’t believe we are already ready to jump into our first Let’s Look link-up. It looks like we have some really fun topics this year!

Alright, so let’s get to it! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today, we are talking about  things we outsource without any regret.

This topic is fun! My list is probably a little boring and not real earth shattering, but I’m sharing in case it helps persuade you to just bite the bullet,  save your sanity, and loosen your purse strings. Ha!

**Trash Service:  This one is pretty simple, but I know some people don’t. I don’t have time to haul trash anywhere except to my rolling garbage can. I know it’s a little bit extra but so worth it.

** House Cleaning Service: When Addison was a baby up until maybe 3, I paid for a monthly house cleaning service. I was so thankful for this and honestly wish I still had it. It was so nice coming home to a clean house and having a little extra time to not worry about using it cleaning the house. So, my advice is if you can squeeze a little extra out to hire someone, do it! Especially if you have little ones to make sure you have time for all the cuddling.

**Tax Service- I know that I could take time to do our taxes ourselves. Do I want to? No. I also like that there’s an additional set of eyes if ever we were audited. So I will gladly fork out the money for taxes.

**Dog Grooming- If I tried to groom/cut/trim Milo, he would probably be scalped. I am not good with the clippers or scissors, so this would end badly. Therefore, I gladly pay someone to do this.

**Pedicure- I enjoy this! I get pedicures every month, even in the Winter. I enjoy this time! Could I paint my toenails myself? Sure! But, I’ll gladly budget every month for Ms. Amy to do this for me. 😉

**Painting- Funny Now. Not funny then. We built our house way back in 2014/2015. We saved a ton of money by my amazing husband and family really helping out and doing a lot of the work. I am no carpenter, and I’m not good with heights, so I thought I could help by painting. Good heavens! Painting ceilings and a 3,000 square foot house is not for the faint of heart. I moaned and groaned. Joey rolled his eyes at me. I used approximately 5,000 rollers and brushes. It took me literally weeks I felt like, and the walls looked HORRIBLE!! Needless to say, after all that, we hired a crew. Bought more paint. It took them 1 day to paint the whole inside and outside. It looked Amazing compared to my crappy job. I never want to paint the house again and hopefully will outsource this without regret in the future. (See pic below right after we moved in.)

What else should I be paying someone to do to help a girl out.

Here are our fun topics for 2026!

I’ll see you back on Friday!

    Oh that is rather funny! I LOVE painting! Though I won’t paint our great room (my husband has done that with a lift he borrowed from work) because I really do not like heights either but I’m okay with being on a large stepladder.

    1. Thanks for the comment, Joanne!! I hope you are having a wonderful week! 🙂
