**Let’s Look At…. How I Keep Healthy** {7.13.2022}

Hey, Hey Wednesday!! How’s everyone today? I am sitting in a school meeting all day today. I can’t believe the end of summer is quickly approaching. I am excited because I’m linking up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything and talking about how I stay healthy.

This topic is quite humorous because I’m not the epitome of health. However, I am conscious of what I eat. I did start reading/following the Noom Program in February and lost 20 pounds. Since the summer, I have gotten off track a little bit. I am excited to jump back on once I get back on school time.

I saw these memes, and they were cracking me up.

In all seriousness, I do try to be active. This past Spring, I started jogging more. My teacher friends and I would walk/jog after school a couple days a week. It really did make me feel better. Now, it’s so hot that I can’t stand to run outside. I have gone walking some at the park in the early morning or late evening. I will also jump on our elliptical at home to get in some exercise. We also have enjoyed some family bike rides.

We try to limit screen time and encourage outside play time. When I go shopping, I try to park farther from the store, so I can get more steps in. It’s all the little things.

I also try to do some arm workouts with weights, and throw in some squats too at least 3 times a week.

I am somewhat conscious of what I eat. Joey was on a restrictive diet for a little while because certain foods bothered him. He’s better now! Sometimes meals can seem monotonous, but I try really hard to change it up some.

For breakfast, I usually have the same thing. I will eat 2 scrambled eggs and either 1 slice of bacon or a slice of Canadian bacon. Sometimes I will make a 2 egg omelet or some egg muffins. I usually have it with some berries: strawberries, raspberries or blueberries. My coffee consists of 1 tsp. of Erythritol sweetener and 2 tsp. half & half Organic creamer. Boring, I know.

For lunch: I typically eat a salad and throw on some Bolthouse Ranch dressing, a sandwich on whole wheat bread or a low carb roll up. I enjoy a Laughing Cow Cheese wedge on it. I don’t eat too many chips, but sometimes I’ll eat the Pretzel Crisps. Usually I’ll drink water, a BodyArmor Lyte or a Slim Powder in my water.

For Dinner: We eat all sorts of things, but we do try to keep it somewhat healthy.

A few weeks ago, I made these Taco Stuffed Turkey Boats. They were delicious!

I made this Easy Roasted Squash the other week, as a side, and it was delicious! I loved the flavor of it, and it went perfectly with grilled fish and a half baked potato.

I made these Easy Baked Zucchini this week. It was yummy. I ended up turning up the oven to 450 for a few minutes at the end to get them extra brown.

If I’m looking for some healthy inspiration, I will often check Skinnytaste website and Fit Foodie Finds. And, of course, Pinterest is always a great place to search!

That is it… Nothing ground breaking or earth shattering. I can’t wait to read your posts and hopefully get some inspiration!

Here are the topics for the year. Next month’s topic… How I do ‘Everyday’ cleaning. This will be interesting.
