  • **Hello Monday** {12.20.2021}

    Happy Monday! We are on Day 1 of Christmas break and super excited to rest, rejuvenate, and squeeze in lots of daily fun too.  Today, I’m doing a recap of our weekend.  Friday night, she wanted to have a sleepover in our bedroom. I walked in to see this, on my way to bed. Sweet girl.  I made these Red Velvet Cheesecake Bars for Joey’s Dad’s Christmas. They were very tasty and festive too.  Saturday morning, I did the usual, laundry and cleaning. Joey had to go work on a job. Addison and I ran to town to do some last minute shopping. When we all got back home, we decided…

  • **Friday Favorites** {12.17.2021}

    Happy Merry Friday!! We are all super excited around here! Christmas break is finally here! We are all ready for full time Christmas cheer around here.  Per the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing all about our favorites from the week. We have had lots of Christmas festivities this year. I love my work bestie.  Addison had dress as Mrs. Claus one day this week, at school. She didn’t want to wear the wig, but she’s still a favorite.  Our team had breakfast one morning this week. It was so delicious, and we enjoyed each other’s company and digging into data.  I made my Ham & Cheese Quiche.…

  • **Polar Express Train** {12.15.2021}

    Today, I’m sharing all about our trip on Sunday to ride the “Polar Express” train. It was so amazing and magical.  Great Smoky Mountain Railroad  Addison woke up to her elf leaving her a note with instructions that her parents were taking her on a trip. She needed to bring the book, cup, glove and hat, and to changer into her pajamas. She was so excited trying to guess what we were doing.  It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Bryson City, NC where the train departed. I snapped this picture of the Nantahala river on the way up there.  We arrived in town about 3 hours before…

  • **Hello Monday** {12.13.2021}

    Whew! What a whirlwind weekend! One for the books. I want to remember every minute of it. Today, I’m giving a recap of our weekend. There was so much that I am breaking it into two posts. Part One today, part Two on Wednesday!  Friday night, Addison had dance rehearsal. It was nasty rain, but the real nasty weather came in on Saturday.  I got up, cleaned, wrapped some presents (I feel like it never ends), did some laundry and then we got ready for the dance recital.  The nastiest weather and heavy winds arrived when we were going to the performance. #ofcourse I just loved their costumes this year.…

  • **Friday Favorites** {12.10.2021}

    Merry Friday!!! How is everyone doing today? I can’t believe we only have one more school week until Christmas break. It needs to slow down, but hurry up. #iykyk #teacherlife Per the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing all about our favorites from the week. Last weekend, one of my Papa’s sisters’ turned 100. It was so sweet! She had the best time, and was so excited!  We have already started with all the dress up days at Addison’s school. Tuesday was dress as an Elf day. She was not happy at all. “Mommy, I don’t want to be an Elf. It’s not pretty.” Not a favorite for…

  • **Let’s Look at…. Favorite Traditions** {12.8.2021}

    Hey guys! Happy Wednesday! Today I’ve got a fun little link-up post for you. I’m linking up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything and talking about our favorite traditions. Can you believe this is our last Let’s Look post of 2021. This year flew by.  This meme pretty much sums up how I feel this time of year. I want to fit in as much fun as possible everyday. 😉 I have so many traditions that I like to happen. I’m going to share some from last year and maybe a few from this year because we haven’t gotten to them all yet.  We usually start the season off with Elfie…

  • **Hello Monday** {12.6.2021}

    Hey Everybody! I can’t believe our weekend is over, and it’s already Monday. We had a fantastic fun-filled weekend. It was slammed full of Christmas fun; the best kind of weekend.  Friday was pajama day at Addison’s school. She was up early searching for Elfie.  Friday night, we headed to our nearby town for an awesome Christmas parade. It was so much fun, and the weather was perfect!  It was packed.  All the floats were so beautifully decorated.  There were so many lit up trucks.  Some of the floats even had blowing “snow”.  This float was probably my favorite. It was dressed just like the Polar Express.  This float even…

  • **Friday Favorites** {12.3.2021}

    Happy First Friday in December! I am so excited for this time of year and want it to just slow down, so I can get all the Christmas festivities in.  Per the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing all about our favorites from the week, and I’m sharing some sales that you don’t want to miss!  Monday, Addison finally got to celebrate her birthday with her class. She was so excited! Since she was out the whole week for her birthday with walking pneumonia, and last week was Thanksgiving break, she just wasn’t able to celebrate. We had one happy girl. It also happened to be Pajama day. …

  • **Girls Trip Recap Nashville** {12.1.2021}

    A few weekends ago, I headed out with some of my favorite girls to Music City. This is a trip we plan for every year, and I always look forward to it. We picked Nashville because of the history and all the things there are to do. I packed my boots and was ready to go.  Unfortunately, one of our girls couldn’t make it. We definitely missed her but tried to still have fun.  We arrived late Friday night and tried to figure out where to park for the hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt Centric right downtown and really liked it. We sat at Valet for about 15 minutes…
