Ending my 14th year of teaching, my heart is heavy you guys. I don’t have the words for the heartbreak I feel for the town of Uvalde, TX. I pray for the precious children’s families whose lives were lost, for their classmates and friends, and for the family and coworkers of those dedicated and loving teachers who lost their lives with the students. ************************************************** On to hopefully a little bit of joy for you all. Today is the last Monday of the school year!! We are all pumped about it!! We have a busy but very fun week coming up! Can’t wait to jump right in! I apologize now for all the pictures from this past weekend. It was Addison’s dance recital, and I took so many pictures. I just want to soak it all up! We finally received her professional pictures back. We are almost there! I can’t believe that next Friday is the last day of school for students! Wow, the year flew by! But we are ready! Happy Monday!! How is everyone doing today? Did you have a nice weekend? The weather was beautiful, and we tried to get outside and enjoy it. Friday night, Joey and I had a date night. We came home to the cat pawing at something in the yard. Joey realized it was a snake and not a good one- a copperhead. So, he went out to take care of it. Saturday morning, I did the usual cleaning, laundry, organizing. But I also worked some in the camper and in the flower beds. Hey, Hey Wednesday!! How’s everyone doing on this May morning? It’s about 40 miles north of Atlanta and is pretty much Atlanta now considering how everything has grown. I grew up here, and the only time I left was to go to college about an hour away. **Weekend Recap** Mother’s Day 2022 {5.9.2022}
Wow, is it Monday already? We had a very busy weekend celebrating all the Moms in our lives. Today, I’m sharing all about our weekend. Friday, at school, we enjoyed a salad bar, with our team, for lunch. It was the best thing, and I wish we had been doing it all year. I went out to recess Friday afternoon to talk with some teachers, and the sky was looking very uneasy. About 15 minutes after this picture was taken, some very strong wind and very hard rain came blowing in. Luckily, we were back inside.
