  • **Spring Break Vacation to Gulf Shores** {4.17.2024}

    Happy Wednesday Everybody!! How’s your week going? I feel like I’m crawling to Friday. Haha!  Today, I’m sharing a recap of our Spring Break. We traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama. I hadn’t been there in many, many years- college. So, it was good to go back. Today’s post is long. I’m trying to fit it all in one post. 🙂 When we made Spring Break plans a year ago, we didn’t realize it also correlated with Easter. It doesn’t always. Well, it did this year, and we just went with it. We knew our holiday would look a lot different than normal, but we were okay with it.  We left…

  • **Camper Prep** {4.10.2024}

    A lot of people have asked questions about our camper. So, today, I’m sharing…. I’m also sharing how we prep for a camping trip.  Here are a few pics of the outside of our 5th wheel camper on some past camping trips. It’s a big one- 42 feet long and has 4 slide outs.  Joey has to do a lot of outside prep. I don’t really have pictures of that. I did snap a few pics of the under compartments where we have loaded them.  He always has to scrub and treat the roof. He washes the entire camper and then waxes it. He has to check the tires and…

  • **Winter Break Vacation to NC Part II** {2.7.2024}

    Happy Wednesday friends!!  Today, I’m finally getting around to sharing Part II of our Winter vacation. If you missed Part I, be sure to start reading here.  Thursday, we woke up, went to breakfast, and we started exploring the area.  We headed into the town of Blowing Rock to walk around. It was very cute.  After walking around Blowing Rock, we headed driving down the mountain, toward Lenoir, to see the mountains.  We rode out to The Blowing Rock.  It was so neat! The views were amazing! Thankfully it was a clear day.  We walked around some of the trails.  Joey and Addison actually climbed to the top of the…

  • **Winter Break Vacation to NC Part I** {1.24.2024}

    Today, I’m sharing Part I of our Winter vacation, which also happened to be part of Addison’s Christmas present. We left Tuesday, the day after Christmas, and headed to Boone, NC. Joey and I had never been there before, and we saw there was lots to see and do.  It was a chilly drive up, and we ended up stopping to see the Nantahala river just to stretch our legs.  The weather was very dreary when we got to Boone. We headed to the downtown area to walk around for a bit before we checked into our hotel.  The town was cute.  We loved the Mast General store. So many…

  • **Hello Monday** {1.8.2024}

    Hey friends!!! I’m baaaack!!! I had a wonderful two weeks off and am ready to get back into a routine. It helps me in all aspects of my life even though I can appreciate some lounging around time. 😉  Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend and beginning of our New Year . The day after Christmas, Joey, Addison, and I went on a little getaway to North Carolina. I will share all about our trip in a later post.  We got back home late on December 30th. On New Years Eve, we went to Costco and got a new TV for…

  • **Hello Monday** Thanksgiving Break Recap {11.27.2023}

    Happy Monday friends!! I am back and rested and had a wonderful week off with family and friends!  Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend and Thanksgiving break.  Friday, a week ago, we left straight from school and work and headed north to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We arrived around 8 and were eager to get settled in and relax before a busy, fun weekend.  We woke up early Saturday morning to beautiful mountains from our balcony.  We got ready and headed to breakfast.  We killed some time by going into Three Bears General store. We were waiting for our friends to arrive. …

  • **Vacation Recap Fall Break J. Beach** {10.4.2023}

    A couple weeks ago we had a week off for our Fall Break. That seems like a lifetime ago even though it was only two weeks. We headed to Florida to visit family and enjoy some beach time as well. My parents and I all went together with our campers. We left early Saturday morning. I felt like we were having a little de’ja vu because we were only about 30 minutes from home, in downtown Atlanta, in the dark, when one of Dad’s camper tires blew. So, they were scrunched against the wall with a lot of traffic flying by, in the dark. It was a little nerve racking.…

  • **Destin Vacation 2023** {7.26.2023}

    Side note: So, since starting back to school/work this week, I obviously have lost track of the dates. I will plan to share my What’s up Wednesday post next week. So, be sure to come back here then for that. 😉  Today, I’m doing a recap of our most recent vacation. I’ll warn you, today’s post is long because I’m trying to do it all in one post. So, settle in and grab an iced coffee.  We went to Miramar Beach, Florida which is just a couple miles from Destin, if you’re familiar.  We left fairly early on a Wednesday morning headed south. If you’re familiar with Atlanta traffic, you…

  • **Myrtle Beach Vacation 2023** {7.5.2023}

    Hey Hey Friends!! It’s already Wednesday!! I can’t believe July 4th is already over. As a teacher, once the 4th of July is past, I feel like our summer is over! 🙁  But today, I’m sharing a recap of our vacation in June.  We have camped at the same place, Myrtle Beach Travel Park, since I was about 2 years old. Growing up, we went every year and met lots of other families every summer at the same time. It was great growing up together!  So, since my parents still continue to go, we try to go with them at least one week. We left June 18th and headed that…

  • **Hello Monday** {6.26.2023}

    Hello Friends!!  Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday. Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because we didn’t get back from vacation until late last night. I was busy unpacking, organizing things to wash, and putting things away. So sorry, but I don’t have the full recap today.  I’m off to start the mountain of laundry. Here’s a little sneak from our trip last week. We had such a wonderful time with family!  I will be back on Wednesday for a What’s up Wednesday link-up. 🙂  xo Thank you to Amazon and Collective Voice for sponsoring this post!
