Holiday Vacation

**Thanksgiving Tennessee Trip** {12.3.2025}

I’m picking right back up to last Thursday and recapping our Thanksgiving trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

We left home about 4 in the afternoon, after stuffing our bellies, and arrived about 7. We took our camper, and it was chilly when we first opened it up. Milo was snuggling to stay warm.

Friday morning we joined many other people by going to Dollywood. We thought the Black Friday sales or the cold weather may deter people, but it did not. Haha!

We got there not long after the 11:00 opening.

Addison’s coat is the Cozy Puffer from Abercrombie Kids. It looks like her color is sold out, but there are other color options available. Shop all Abercrombie Coats Here.

Once arriving, we headed straight up toward Wildwood Grove side.

However, after looking at the wait times, we headed to the Eagle and waited only about 5-10 minutes. Addison conquered her fear by riding. If you’ve ever been the park, you know this is a BIG ride. It has loops and goes super fast. I had to close my eyes through most of the ride. Haha!

We decided to head over to one of the newer rides, Big Bear. At this time there was a 90 minute wait, and we weren’t sure if it would get any better. We endured the wait and were so happy we did! It’s still one of my faves!

It was so cold there was ice and icicles on the water wheel! So pretty!

We rode a few other rides and headed to late lunch/early dinner to hopefully beat the crowds. I got a fun grilled chicken sandwich.

We took lots of photos!

Then the lights came out, and Dolly really knows how to decorate!

Love these string lights… it’s like a magical forest of lights.

After watching a Christmas show to warm up, we headed over to the old cars. We stopped for a photo op on the way.

I waited forever in line for Cinnamon bread.. I’m talking over an hour. While I did that, Addison and Joey went to try to ride some rides.

Unfortunately, everything starting shutting down early due to the cold. She was super bummed!

So, we headed toward the exit and took some more pictures along the way.

When we got back to camp, we dove into the cinnamon bread.

We went to bed late, so it was wonderful to sleep in on Saturday morning.

It was cold, but it didn’t feel as cold. Addison didn’t let it hold her back and headed out for some bike riding and jumping.

After playing a bit, we got ready and headed out to do some shopping.

We stopped and grabbed a Dutch Bros Coffee… This is the first time we have ever been, as we don’t have them in Georgia. Or at least not close to where we live.

First stop was at The Christmas Store. And she wanted to take a lot of pictures with all the props.

The store is beautiful, and I love going in! We always have to buy a few things.

We headed to Three Bears General store and soaked up more Christmas goodness.

After some shopping, we had dinner reservations at The Local Goat.

We had tickets to see Country Tonite that evening.

Addison’s entire outfit is from Shop the Mint Holiday Collection. My sweater is from Shop the Mint, but I think it’s sold out.

The sweet usher, Miss Libby, loved Addison’s outfit so much, she wanted to get a picture of her wearing her vest. Haha! So sweet.

Sunday morning, we woke to yucky rain. We packed up and headed out about 8:30 to head back home.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you back on Friday! 🙂
