Hello Friends!! Happy to see you guys today!
We were out of school for a week in February. Cindy and Adalynn joined us for a trip to Tennessee. We left early on a Wednesday morning and headed to Pigeon Forge, TN.
We arrived around lunchtime and headed straight for some shopping.
After some shopping, the girls had worked up an appetite. We really wanted to eat in Gatlinburg, at the Peddler. We love their salad bar! However, it didn’t open until late. We found out the sister restaurant, The Park Grill opened earlier and headed there! It also had a salad bar which we were all excited about. It was delicious!
We couldn’t check in at the resort until 4:00. We wanted to get dinner out of the way, so the girls would have time to play that night.
We stopped by one of Dolly’s hotels to visit and get some Hot Cinnamon Bread to-go.
Then we headed on to check in at the resort. We stayed at the Wilderness of the Smokies which is a huge indoor water park. The girls were wide open and loving life! They met some new friends.
After they were extremely wrinkled and water logged, they wanted a sweet treat to end the night.
We were all tired and headed to sleep fairly early.
The next morning, we slowly got ready and headed out to find breakfast. We ate at Sawyer’s. Addison was a happy girl.
After breakfast, we headed to the Three Bear General Store.
And then over to the Island for some shopping.
Girls trips are the best!
I have been wanting to go to this Sky Fly exhibit the past few times we have been in town. It’s supposed to be very similar to the Soarin’ Ride at Disney which is a favorite! So, Cindy and I decided to all go! And, we all loved it! We definitely gave it two thumbs up.
We headed back to the waterpark for some afternoon pool time. There are so many slides and different areas for the kids to explore.
This Kaleidoscope kavern is a new addition this year. It’s like an indoor glow lazy river.
Sadly, I wasn’t going to get in since I was in my boot.
This orange slide was also a new addition and was supposed to be comparable to a water roller coaster.
After a few hours of swimming, we put on some dry clothes and headed to grab some pizza. Addison also indulged in a blue frozen drink. Haha!
We ended the night by letting the girls have some fun in the arcade.
Then it was back to the waterpark. So very humid in there!
We pretty much closed the park down. The girls said goodbye to their new friend, and we headed back to the room to pack up.
We left fairly early the next morning and headed home. Even though it was a short trip, the girls loved it, and we had fun spending time together!
See ya back on Friday!
