• **Friday Favorites** Christmas 2022 {12.30.2022}

    I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone. We have had a great week full of Christmas cheer.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Last Friday, I was supposed to work, but with the frigid weather, our county pronounced a digital working day. Yes!!!!  Friday night, we grabbed a bite to eat and headed out in search of Christmas lights! A little Jammy Cocoa Christmas.  We drove about 30 minutes to see this well known subdivision where everyone participates in decorating to the max. However, the high winds had blown a lot of things over and down, so not as…

    Happy Happy Friday!! And Happy Christmas Eve Eve!  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Today, we have a digital working day, because of the frigid weather, so I’m cozy in my pajamas working on spreadsheets and data.  We had so many fun things happen this week! As the leader of Joy Club, I helped to organize daily little treats for the teachers!  Addison had a basketball game this week, and Elfie wanted to go cheer her on. She was over the moon excited about taking Elfie to the game with us!  One night, he was praying and had been reading…

  • **Christmas Treats** {12.21.2022}

    Today I’m sharing a couple of recipes that I love to make at Christmastime. The first one I’m sharing is for these Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cake Bars These are always a hit and a favorite!  Addison helped me with melting the butter and stirring it all together.  Once you have the cake mix, egg and butter mixed together, you can press it into the bottom of a greased 9×13 dish. This becomes the cookie crust.  Then, you will pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust.  Once it’s baked, make sure you have it set to cool completely before cutting.  Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cake Bars  Ingredients:  1 box…

  • **Friday Favorites** {12.9.2022}

    Alright friends, it’s December 9th, and I really need to start buckling down and getting serious about some Christmas shopping. I have done a lot, but I’m probably about 60% done. My Dad is one that is very hard to buy for. Right now, he has nothing under the tree. Speaking of under the tree, I’ve got to start wrapping presents too.  What about ya’ll? What percentage of completion are you?  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Addison has had a super fun week at school. Lots of Christmas dress up days. Tons of fun and exciting learning!  Elfie has…

  • **North Pole Breakfast** {12.7.2022}

    Last week, on December 1st,  Elfie arrived!!!  This is one of our favorite nights of the year. Typically, on this night, we also have breakfast foods, and it’s just so fun and a great way to kick off the Christmas season!  Addison was so excited about  her letter from Elfie.  He brought her a few gifts.  I put out some little twinkle lights and smaller ornaments. I also added in some Nutcrackers. I found the wrapping paper at Target, and it went well with my pink/silver and Nutcracker theme. I also just added in some bottle brush little trees. In the corner, I always add on  our past Santa Christmas…

    Hey Hey Everybody! I can’t believe it’s already back to Monday. Our weekend was super busy, but very fun! We started off Friday morning all bundled up and festive for car duty.  I had a delicious lunch of chicken salad and broccoli cheddar soup on Friday. Not having to worry about packing my lunch is always a great thing!  Friday night, we loaded up a picnic and got all festive to go to a neighboring town’s parade. It’s always the best one around and has such a small town…
