  • **Fall Break Vacay Recap** Part I {9.28.2020}

    Happy Monday!! It’s good to be back in the blog world! Last week we went on a trip to Destin, FL, to enjoy our last beach trip of the “summer”.  Well, mother nature had other things in mind. It was the coolest I can remember our September beach trip being, and the roughest I’ve ever seen the Gulf. When we got there, we unpacked and headed to the beach. The ocean wasn’t too bad, and the air was just a little cool.  We relaxed a little bit and watched some Atlanta Braves baseball.  Sunday morning, Joey did a Donut run. So good! #donuthole The wind was fierce, and it was…

  • **A little Fall with a perfect Fall Recipe** {9.23.2020}

    Happy Wednesday! Holy cow Fall came in with a bang. These cooler temperatures have been giving me all the Fall feels. Today’s post is short and sweet.  I made this chili last week in the crockpot. It was perfect for the cooler weather. I toasted up a grilled cheese with some toppings, and it was just what we needed.  Question: Does anyone else put sour cream in their chili? We had a guest join us for dinner, and I had sour cream out as a topping. He had never heard of adding it. He did, and loved it! Ha! It may be a southern thing. šŸ˜‰ Joey bought me this…

  • **Friday Favorites** {9.18.2020}

    Happy Friday!!!!  Wow it’s felt like a long week! We have had a lot of rain because of Hurricane Sally. The temperatures have felt great though, definitely Fall-like.  Today, Iā€™m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing some of my favorite things from the week!!  We have had a bunch of favorites this week. One happened last Friday. Addison and I wore red, white and blue in honor of September 11 for Patriot’s day.  These pictures from Addison’s teacher, at school, were a favorite this week. She was so proud to have completed her homework.  This is the henley shirt I ordered from Amazon. It was very cute, and I can’t…

  • **Fall Bucket List** {9.16.2020}

    Oooh… I LOVE a good Bucket List. And with how this year is going, I definitely need some joy in my life and something to look forward to. I love perusing Fall things on Pinterest. Here’s my All Things Fall board on Pinterest.  #1 Pumpkin Patch We have a lot of pumpkin patches around where we live. We always enjoy doing everything there, including the hay ride, picking out pumpkins, playing games, and the petting zoo. We also enjoy getting some sweets while we are there. šŸ™‚ Here’s a throwback to last year.  #2 Go to the Fair We had the best time, last year, at the nearby fair. We…

  • **Weekend Recap Apple Style** {9.14.2020}

    Happy Monday…. We had a great weekend! Friday night, we just hung out at the house, and I cooked. I grilled some chicken with these Brussels Sprouts! Oh my!! They were delicious! If you think you don’t like Brussels sprouts, just make these. You will change your mind! #trustme Saturday morning, we got up, and I cleaned and did some laundry. I had to run some errands and ended up here. šŸ˜‰  I got back home, and Addison took a nap. I worked on some school work, this blog post and some organizing. We made a Costco run and ended up eating Mexican for dinner. #quesoislife Ha! We ate an…

Anytime we get to go away for a little family trip, it’s always a favorite! We left out right after work on Friday and headed North, towards Gatlinburg, for the long weekend. On the way up there, we ran through some really heavy rain. It delayed us a little bit, but we finally arrived around 8:30. Here’s little bit reading Shiver me…

    Hey Hey Everybody!! Happy Wednesday!! Today’s linkup is revolved around my school pictures. I am going to preface and apologize to you all now. Ha! The 80’s and early 90’s were not good to me. And my Mama believed, the bigger the hair, the better. šŸ˜‰ Get ready for sweater vests, think Carlton, and even suspenders. Boy, I was stylish… Haha! I’ll…

I’ve had lots of meetings and busy with everything school. I saw this pretty moon on the way to school. However, full moon is never a good sign to start the day. šŸ˜‰  Boden has some super, cute girl clothes right now for Fall. And this weekend, they are an extra 20% off!!  I am loving this sweet, little dress! And…

  • **Marie’s Meatballs** {9.2.2020}

    This recipe was passed down to me from a family friend. She lives in the town where my Dad grew up. It’s a very small, rural town, in Tennessee. These are a scrumptious, nighttime meal, if you want some home cooking. Definitely comfort food. I want to preface that they are not Italian meatballs. They are very similar to meatloaf balls. šŸ™‚  So here you go!!  2 lbs. ground beef 1 cup cornflakes ( I buy the ones in the cup already ground up)  1/2 cup applesauce salt  pepper  medium onion, chopped Green Pepper (optional, so I leave out) 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup water Preheat oven to 350 degrees.…
