**Fall Break Vacay Recap** Part I {9.28.2020}

Happy Monday!! It’s good to be back in the blog world! Last week we went on a trip to Destin, FL, to enjoy our last beach trip of the “summer”.

Well, mother nature had other things in mind. It was the coolest I can remember our September beach trip being, and the roughest I’ve ever seen the Gulf. When we got there, we unpacked and headed to the beach. The ocean wasn’t too bad, and the air was just a little cool.

We relaxed a little bit and watched some Atlanta Braves baseball.

Sunday morning, Joey did a Donut run. So good! #donuthole

The wind was fierce, and it was very chilly. We needed sweatshirts/jackets/long pants.

The strong wind made it perfect weather for flying a kite.

That evening we had reservations for the Great Southern Cafe in Seaside. We met my parents there. We walked around town for a bit. The wind and temperature was definitely brutal. We were not prepared.

Monday, we got up to more gloomy, cool weather. Sweatshirts were in order. 😉

We tried to go down to the beach for a little bit. The water was warmer than the air. I sat with goosebumps most of the time.

We just chilled out that night, played as much as possible, and cooked at camp. We grilled some chicken with veggies and had mashed potatoes.

Tuesday, same weather different day…

Outside afternoon naps are the best.

We ordered pizza to go and went to get ice cream that night. Easy peasy. For some reason, our favorite little ice cream shop, Blue Mountain Creamery, was closed. I don’t know if the hurricane caused them to close or what… either way, we were very sad.

That’s it for Part I. As for this past weekend, we got home late Friday evening. I spent Saturday morning cleaning and doing about 10+ loads of laundry. I also decided to combat Addison’s closet by taking some of her summer clothes upstairs to transition to Fall. We ran to the grocery store and other stores. Sunday, we went to Church and got ready for another week. We have a very busy upcoming week.

Thanks so much for following along. I will see you back here on Wednesday for What’s up Wednesday link-up. 🙂
