So today I’m going way back… I’m talking back to the 80’s to share some major throwback pics. Today’s linkup is revolved around my school pictures. I am going to preface and apologize to you all now. Ha! The 80’s and early 90’s were not good to me. And my Mama believed, the bigger the hair, the better. 😉
Get ready for sweater vests, think Carlton, and even suspenders. Boy, I was stylish… Haha!
I’ll start out in Pre-K… I mean look at the print on the shirt. Screams 80!
These pics are from Kindergarten… I’m guessing one was in the Fall and one was in the Spring.
Then, we move into first grade, when I had apparently lost my front teeth. I will also take this time to say, I had braces starting in 5th grade. My mouth was very small and my teeth were so cramped. I actually had to have 4 adult teeth pulled and the roof of my mouth stretched every day, for about 2 weeks, before I could get braces.
2nd grade…..
Then, skipped to 5th grade… that’s a nice looking sweater vest. 😉
I’m not sure what happened…. I had to dig through albums at my parent’s house for these pics. I couldn’t really find any other school pictures until….. 11th grade….
I couldn’t even find a Senior picture…. I’m sure if I dug through my Annuals I would have found it, but I didn’t think of that, so here we are….
I would love to share a school picture of Addison with you all. Sadly, with Covid, her school is very strict on visitors in the building. With that, they cancelled her picture day. I have scheduled pictures with our family friend photographer, and hopefully will be able to share some new family pictures soon! 🙂
Here’s a side by side of me and Addison. Do you think we favor?
Here’s Addison with her teacher, Ms. Jean. We love Ms. Jean and Ms. Sam so much and are so thankful for them! 🙂 <3
Next month is all about how we pumpkin… 🙂
Thanks for stopping by… I hope you all have a blessed day! See you back here on Friday for some favorites and a recap of our Labor Day weekend! It was a fun, adventurous one! 🙂
I do think your daughter looks like you. I couldn’t find many of my school photos either and I know I had some pretty big hair in a few of them. I too am sporting a rather stylish (not!) sweater vest in at least one of them.
You were adorable! How I loved the 80’s and 90’s when I was in high school/college/first started teaching. Your daughter looks like both you and your mother-in-law. She will one day be making a post similar to this.

I was right there with you with the turtlenecks! Ha. Did you do the “mock” turtleneck? My mom always made us wear those to church.

Yes!! I wore plenty of “mock” turtlenecks in my day. Made me look like Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation. Ha!
