  • **Hello Monday** {1.29.2024}

    Hello friends!! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours flew by… as usual.  I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday, we (Joy Club) had planned a Hot Cocoa bar for the teachers as a little treat. It went off very well, despite it being unseasonably warm that day. Can’t predict the weather.  Friday night, we went to dinner with Joey’s Mom. Then, it was an early bedtime. Because we were up at 6, on Saturday, for an 8:00 basketball game.  The girls played tough, but we ended up losing. I can’t believe we only have one more regular season game left.  When we…

  • **Friday Favorites** {1.26. 2024}

    It’s Friday friends!! I am thankful for another weekend!  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Monday, our school celebrated the 100th day of learning. Addison enjoyed dressing up as if she was 100 years old.  I snapped a picture of the A team that morning.  These two helpers helped get the laptops out to get testing prepared for the day.  On Tuesday, we celebrated the 101st day of school with Dalmation day. Of course Milo had to be included in a pic.  We had a lot of very important visitors yesterday that wanted to tour our school and visit classrooms,…

  • **Winter Break Vacation to NC Part I** {1.24.2024}

    Today, I’m sharing Part I of our Winter vacation, which also happened to be part of Addison’s Christmas present. We left Tuesday, the day after Christmas, and headed to Boone, NC. Joey and I had never been there before, and we saw there was lots to see and do.  It was a chilly drive up, and we ended up stopping to see the Nantahala river just to stretch our legs.  The weather was very dreary when we got to Boone. We headed to the downtown area to walk around for a bit before we checked into our hotel.  The town was cute.  We loved the Mast General store. So many…

  • **Hello Monday** {1.22.2024}

    Hello Friends!! We are already back at Monday. The weekend’s go by way too quickly! I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday night, we met up with Joey’s Dad and siblings for dinner. He brought the girls this sweet Dancer Deer, and they were smitten. They wanted to do a photo shoot. It was so sweet.  Saturday morning, we were up early for another early basketball game. And it was a cold 8 degrees. Brrrr…. The girls were neck in neck with the other team. We ended up losing by one point.  The only good thing about an early game is…

  • **Friday Favorites** {1.19.2024}

    TGIF!! Even though we only had a 3 day week, we are always ready for the weekend. 🙂 We had Monday off for MLK day then they called off Tuesday for predicted weather.  Per the usual, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Monday, we were out of school, and we took up most of the day giving all our attention to Milo, our new puppy. We are all smitten.  Addison and I headed to TJ Maxx to find him some toys, a bed, and anything else he might need. 😉  When we got back home, I did a little breakfast prep for the…

  • **Let’s Look at…. How We Clean our Closets** {1.17.2024}

    Happy Happy Wednesday friends!! I can’t believe we are already back to a new year of Let’s Look posts. Typically, we post on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, but this month, because of how the New Year fell, it got moved to today.  Alright, so let’s get to it! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today, to kickoff the new year, we are talking about how we clean our closets.  Well, this is a daunting task that is not fun, and I do not enjoy. However, usually this time of year, I go through my closet and clean out anything…

  • **Hello Monday** {1.15.2024}

    Happy Monday friends!! We are out of school for MLK day, so we are enjoying and loving an extra day of rest.  Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend  We had a rainy Friday night, so we stayed in. I cooked lasagna with salad and bread. We had an early bedtime because we had to leave the house at 7:15, Saturday morning, for A’s bball game.  This was the first game back of the new year. We have been off almost a month. I think most of the girls were asleep. They didn’t wake up until about half time.  We lost 8-10. And,…

  • **Friday Favorites** {1.12.2024}

    Happy Friday!! This week being the first week back from break has seemed like an eternity.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Today’s post is short and sweet because we have had a really busy week, and I foresee the next few weeks being just as busy.  Unfortunately, this has been a favorite this week. I have not been feeling well. I had a horrible headache for two days straight, and I was tired of taking so much Advil. I don’t like taking medicine, but it was to the point I was having to take it around the clock. My…

  • **Christmas 2023 Recap** {1.10.2024}

    Today is a long post, but I’m sharing all about our Christmas events and gatherings.  I had to work all the way until Friday, December 22nd. It was a teacher workday and thankfully, we were able to leave right around lunchtime.  There was a cute, little Christmas German Market setup in our town. So, we met up with Whitley’s family and had a great time. It was so much fun and lots of things for the kids to do too! Santa was there also! It was a great hit!  Unfortunately, a lot of sickness hit some of our family this year, and we didn’t get to celebrate together. We were…
