Random Shenanigans

  • **Summer Must-Do List** {6.23.2021}

    Hey Everybody! So, I know I’m a little late getting this on here, but it’s just been crazy busy around here. So, I asked my 4-year old for suggestions of things she wanted to do this summer, and this is what she came up with. 😉  Make Cookies (She’s always all about making something to fill her belly). 🙂 Go to the Park Build a Fire outside and Make Smores  Play Outside in the Rain and Jump in Puddles  Go Camping Go to the Beach Go to the Splash Pad/Water Park Have a Movie Night Catch Lightning Bugs Hang Upside Down Outside ( I asked her what she meant by…

  • **Halloween Memories** {11.4.2020}

    It’s Wednesday!! Today, being the day after the election, I thought I’d throw some cuteness and a little bit of happy your way. I’m sharing Addison’s costumes over the years, and I may pop up in a few of the throwbacks too. 🙂 We will start back in 2017, when she was one and dressed up as Cinderella. So sweet… she struggled keeping her slippers on too! 😉 In 2018, she was Tinkerbell. She lit up the evening with her magical wings.  In 2019, Toy Story 4 was very popular. It had just come out. Joey really wanted Addison to be Jessie, the cowgirl. She didn’t want it, so she…

  • **Trader Joe Finds** {8.5.2020}

    Happy Wednesday!! It’s been busy around here this week. We are getting back into the routine and the rush has already started.  Today I’m sharing some of my favorite finds from Trader Joe’s and also some new finds. I usually try to go once a month and stock up on some staple items. They just have some great things and they are at great pricing!  This pasta sauce is on point. I love that it has a creamy base and not just all tomato.  This is great to heat up for a weekend lunch.  I love this dip to eat for lunch. It’s so delicious! If you know what’s good…

  • **Master Bedroom Update** {7.8.2020}

    Well, I’m back…. I took a few days off to enjoy a short little getaway with my family. We had the best time at the beach. I’ll do a little recap on Friday. So, let’s jump into today’s post…. A few months back, I decided I wanted to redo our master bedroom. When we got married, we kept my bedroom furniture. It had a Queen sized bed. We endured the queen through 7 years of marriage and 1 pregnancy… Well, I told Joey in January, that it was time.  I can’t find a full picture of my bed on my phone… I know I used to have one somewhere, but…

  • **Random Shenanigans** {6.3.2020}

    Happy Wednesday!! Today, I’m sharing some random things we have been up to lately.  Last Friday, I met one of my besties and her daughter for a lunch date. We haven’t seen each other since February, so it was so good to catch up. We ate lots of carbs. 😉 Then they begged for ice cream, so of course we gave in.  The girls ran around on the sidewalk. #safetyfirst Ha!  We got two three year olds to take our picture. #futurephotographers These pictures of us took me back to one sweet trip 9 years ago. We were in Venice, Italy when some goon took a floating head pic of…

  • **What We Are Watching** {May 2020 Edition}

    Well, I don’t know about you all, but I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix around here.  These are some shows I’ve been watching, but I know there are more shows out there!  1. Virgin River (I watched all 10 episodes pretty quickly. I definitely enjoyed it. It had a little bit of a Gilmore Girls vibe. I don’t know why. Anyone else?) 2. New Girl (Love it. It does have a lot of sexual innuendos, but it’s very funny) 3. Hart of Dixie (Lots of bloggers/friends have told me they LOVE this show, so I wanted to get on board. I mean, it’s very southern. The poor Dr. Hart, bless her. Nothing…

  • **Wednesday Check-In** {4.1.2020}

    Happy Wednesday and Happy April Fools Day!! I feel like the past few weeks have all been an April Fools Joke or reruns of Groundhog’s Day. We’ve been doing more of the same around here.   • **Wednesday Check-In** {3.18.2020}

    Well, it has really been interesting around here. I’m trying to keep it as normal as possible and trying very hard to stick Addison to a “schedule”.  I have to be available for “office hours” from 9-10:30 to answer questions/emails that my students may have. I have additional meetings scheduled throughout some of my days. Per the governor, we are mandated to stay closed through March 31st. I am “learning” quickly how to navigate the digital world/classroom. My student’s parents are also having to muddle through this. We will get through it together!!  With all that said, I’ve been having Addison do some “academic” activities too. I will share those…

  • **Wednesday Recipes** {3.11.2020}

    Happy Wednesday and Happy Hump Day!! It’s been a really busy week around here with lots of after school meetings and events going on.  Today is short and sweet. I’m sharing about our menu this week and a yummy/”semi healthy” cookie recipe. I don’t know about you all, but I get tired of cooking the same things. I’m always on the lookout for easy, delicious, toddler friendly-ish recipes. Because, let’s be honest, Addison is extremely picky!!  ************************************************* Sunday: Mini- Meatloafs, creamed corn, mac n’ cheese, peas and snaps Monday: Leftover Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole and Roasted Green beans with Bacon Tuesday: Stuffed Shells and salad Wednesday: Trader Joe’s Teriyaki chicken…

  • **Air Fryer Review & Recipes** {2.4.2020}

    Hey guys!! Happy Wednesday!! I was a little hesitant to jump on the Air Fryer bandwagon, but I feel like I’m completely on and riding smooth. My favorite things to make in the air fryer are veggies. Especially when it comes to crispy “fried” veggies. My only suggestion is to do the food in stages. You cannot layer the food in the air fryer or it will not cook thoroughly. And you must flip them halfway through cooking.  This is actually the model of my Air Fryer. It does take up some counter space, but I can easily push it out of the way. I put a link to Amazon,…
