**Hello Monday** {12.13.2021}

Whew! What a whirlwind weekend! One for the books. I want to remember every minute of it. Today, I’m giving a recap of our weekend. There was so much that I am breaking it into two posts. Part One today, part Two on Wednesday!

Friday night, Addison had dance rehearsal. It was nasty rain, but the real nasty weather came in on Saturday.

I got up, cleaned, wrapped some presents (I feel like it never ends), did some laundry and then we got ready for the dance recital.

The nastiest weather and heavy winds arrived when we were going to the performance. #ofcourse

I just loved their costumes this year. They were so beautiful. I just love our precious dancers.

They danced to “Silent Night”. I couldn’t get over how much they’ve grown and how precious they were. I couldn’t hold my emotions together. It was just so beautiful. #imnotcrying #yourecrying

This is their third recital, and they have grown so much in every way. We are all so proud of these sweet angels.

After the recital, we flew home, changed clothes, and headed south a little way to go eat at Marietta Diner. We love going to this place around Christmastime, and it’s become a little bit of a tradition for us.

We left the diner and headed to get some Hot Chocolate and me Caramel Brulee Latte. The weather wasn’t really cooperating, so we knew we were just going to be driving around and staying inside our car.

Our goal was to go see “Lights of Joy”, a house in Marietta that was featured on the Great Light Fight. It was amazing! We could have gotten out and walked around, but we really didn’t want to get out in the rain. So, we just drove by. My pictures don’t really do it justice, and the rain splotches also don’t help, but it was awesome!

There is another house on our way home, that has an orchestrated light show. However, we sat there for about 15 minutes and nothing happened. So, we ended up just leaving.

My work buddy and friend Sharon and I signed up for a meal train for one of our coworkers. I told her I could do a dessert and crackers to accompany her soup. So, after we got home, I got busy making a cake. Tonight would be my only night to get it done.

Because, Sunday we left early to head to Bryson City, NC to ride on the Polar Express. It was also awesome! I’ll be sharing all about it on Wednesday. Here’s a sneak peek.

That’s it for today. We are on the countdown. 5 more days, and we are out for Christmas break! So much fun happening this week too! We are just squeezing it all in. Are you guys ready? See you back on Wednesday.
