Hello Friends!! Happy Hump Day!
Alright, so let’s get to it! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today, we are talking about ways we have turned into our parents.
This is a fun topic! A little humorous thinking about ways I have turned into my mother, but fun anyway. Haha!
My parents are fun! I love spending time with them and going on trips together! Now, they do have their moments of being “set in their ways”, but for the most part I think they’re great!
Here are just a few ways that I thought of in turning into my parents.
**At night, I cannot stay awake while watching TV. It really doesn’t matter what it is, I’ll fall asleep. This used to baffle me with Mom growing up, and now I get it.
**Going along with the former one, if something is after 9:00, I don’t want to go. Nothing good happens in the late evening hours.
**When I get with College & High School friends, we always reminisce of the past. Haha! This is always my Dad and now me.
** Using empty butter containers for leftovers. If you open my Mom’s fridge, I’m sure you’ll find a Cool Whip bowl or a butter container. Is it those items? No. It’s something left over. Haha!
**Calling people by the wrong name. When I had a classroom of students, I would often catch myself calling students by the wrong name which took me straight back to my childhood.
**Joey claims that all my mannerisms and actions are right from my Mama. My stubbornness and hard headedness, is right from my Dad. I feel like I have a soft heart but Joey says it’s only about some things. lol
** I have a great sense of direction. My Dad always drove us everywhere growing up and knew all the backroads, and now this is me.
And that’s a wrap….
This will be fun reading your posts!

I loved reading this post, Alison! I am so with you on not wanting to be out late at night and definitely with you on the butter containers, haha!
