Happy Happy Friday! Happy May!!! Summer is quickly approaching!
Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week & last weekend.
We had such a busy past weekend that I didn’t even have time to stop and blog about it. So, I’m sharing it all here.
Friday, Addison’s grade level had Hawaiian day in prep for State Testing this week.
Friday night, we celebrated Madalyn graduating college with a themed party. She is moving to be a nurse in Savannah. There were all kinds of funny themed areas.
Saturday, we had 2 volleyball games. The first game we only had 5 players, and the girls gave it their all. They came so close to winning.
We had like a 2 hour break between games, so we went to Dunkin’ and got some coffee/donuts.
The second game, we had 6 players and came in for the win! We were so proud of our girls!
Saturday evening, we participated in our county’s Relay for Life. They honored my Uncle at the ceremony, and it was very emotional and touching.
The whole event is always very awe inspiring and emotional. We celebrated my Dad being cancer free for 24 years and family member, Amanda, as well.
Sunday, we went to church.
We had to rush home that afternoon and get all fancied up for our second round of dance pictures.
Sunday evening, we had a surprise birthday party at our house for my Dad’s 80th!
He was very surprised!
We had a wonderful time celebrating him and reminiscing about all the great things he has done in his life!
Monday morning, we were up and cheering Addison on for starting her week of State testing.
These cuties matching in their sweatshirts and shorts, Monday morning, was a favorite.
Monday was Dad’s actual birthday. We wanted to celebrate him one more time, so we all went out to eat together.
Tuesday morning was not a favorite. Right about morning drop off time it started hailing and storming like crazy. The hail stones were big!
Tuesday evening, our newest feeder school High School had their Open House to the public. I was going to go, and my Mom went. I ended up having to take Addison to urgent care. She tested positive for strep. You never know what’s going to show up this time of year.
Mom sent me pics, and the new campus looks huge and gorgeous!
Wednesday, I had a chiropractor appointment. Addison had been on antibiotics long enough so her & Joey went to volleyball practice.
After my appointment, I decided to go for a walk at the park. It was very nice and a favorite!
Our little friend, Lucy, took home Addison’s Nee-doh on the Spring Break trip. I didn’t tell her. So, she had mail this week, and I loved seeing her surprised face! Haha!
This Apple Watch Band is a favorite! It’s great quality! It would make a great Mother’s Day gift!
Something else that would make a great Mother’s Day gift is this Skylight Digital Calendar. Joey and I can both link up to it and add things to it. Addison loves adding her own To-Do list and events. It’s a favorite around here!
I shared my What’s Up Wednesday post this week! Be sure to check it out!
And that’s a wrap! I can’t believe we are already 2 weeks down on State testing. One more week to go!
We have Volleyball this weekend, but I think the rest of our weekend is a little calmer than last weekend. Maybe I’ll be able to sit down. 😉
Have a great weekend, friends!
