**Weekend Recap** {2.21.2022}
Well, we are officially on Winter Break this week, and we are loving it! We have just been taking it easy around here and doing lots of playing.
Mom & Dad sent Addison some Valentine’s cookies, and they finally arrived on Friday. She was so excited to open them! Her face is priceless.
Joey didn’t get home Friday night until around 10, so we had a lazy Saturday morning. I did the usual- cleaning, laundry, organizing. I ran to the grocery store, and Joey did some work around the house. He also washed and cleaned my car. I vacuumed it out! Thanks, honey!
Adalynn had planned to spend the night with us that night, but we didn’t tell Addison. When she arrived, she was so excited! She screamed and jumped up and down for like 10 minutes. Ha!
We ran to get some dinner. O’Charley’s rolls for the win! 😉
We got home, and they had a sweet treat then jumped in their pajamas. They had a fun game of balloon toss.
They were back and forth between the playroom upstairs, her room downstairs, our bedroom, and the living room area. There were Disney Princess dresses everywhere! It was utter chaos, but we couldn’t have asked for anything better! They were having a blast! They played with Addison’s Barbie Dream Closet in our foyer. Haha!
We started attempting to get them to sleep around 9:15. They begged to sleep upstairs in the playroom, in the tent. We didn’t figure this would last long, but we agreed to it. They came downstairs two different times, saying they were scared. We kept hearing feet pitter patter above our head. Finally, they gave up and decided to sleep in Addison’s bed downstairs.
After finally falling asleep around 10:30, they slept until 7. I was happy with that. They wanted Chocolate Chip Pancakes with bacon/sausage, so Chef Joey got right on it. 😉
The weather was still pretty chilly, so we waited a while for the temperature to rise. We finally bundled up and went outside for some jump and playground time. They had so much fun and love each other so much!
After Adalynn left, Joey and I went on a walk/jog. Addison tried to stay up with us but eventually went back to the house. We then ate a bite of lunch and headed down to visit with Joey’s Granny. We hadn’t seen her since last summer. So, it was great to visit with her for a little while.
