Hello Monday

**Hello Monday** {8.8.2022}

Wow! What a weekend! We had a busy but great one! What about you guys?

Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

Friday, we had our Tribal Reveal day at school. We celebrated our teams August Birthdays with lunch together and some delicious Costco cake!

That afternoon, we had the students gather with their STEM buddies and work on some STEM activities. They had a blast!

Saturday, we were up early for another Soccer Saturday. Addison did some great plays and even played goalie for a minute. And she got the Sportsmanship medal for the game!

On the way home, I grabbed an energy tea! This Watermelon Sugar flavor is new and delicious!

We got home, and I did some cleaning and organizing. Then, Joey told me I needed to get rid of some things in the closet that there wasn’t room for anything else. So, I did a closet cleanout. 😉

And because I did a closet cleanout, I decided I should share with you my favorite hangers! They’re so great to not damage my shirts and dresses. Plus, they’re thin, so you can fit more on the rack! 😉 They’re a great price at less than $20 for a pack of 30!

Addison had begged Joey to do a tent camping trip just for Daddy & daughter. So, he planned it for Saturday night hoping the weather would cooperate.

Meanwhile, I met my friend Katy at the cutest little restaurant. We walked around Ellijay for just a bit because we had a little time to kill.

We had tickets to go see “Where the Crawdads Sing”. I have read the book, and I will say that I really enjoyed the movie! If you haven’t seen it, I would definitely recommend it! Always so great to hang out with friends!

I tasked Joey with taking pictures, and he actually did take some. Here’s their camping set up.

His Dad joined in on the fun too! They stayed in his Dad’s yard/pasture area.

Addison was quick to play in the creek.

And she had a blast driving and riding around on the tractor.

She played her heart out, they explored, and ate all the junk food. She said she wasn’t supposed to tell me, but of course she did. Hahaha! 😉 Such wonderful memories made! I sure do love that Joey is so awesome to do these things with her!

Sunday morning, I slept until 7:30, and it was wonderful! I got up and started meal prepping for the week. I made my Sausage Muffins, and cut up fruit. I also took all the sheets off the beds and washed them.

The campers got home around 10, and I started doing all the laundry and giving Addison a bath. They were stinky.

While the campers napped, I snuck outside to sit in the sun and read for a little while. It got super hot real fast though.

We went out and raked leaves off the trampoline and did some cleaning. Then, we had a showdown to see what tricks we could all do. It was fun, but yet again, it was hot!

We ate with Mom & Dad last night. She made Cubed Steak, Creamed Corn, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole & Blueberry Cobbler. It was delicious!

When we got home, I got lunches made, outfits were set out, and read some books. Settled in for an early night. I hope ya’ll have a fabulous start to your week! See you on Wednesday for a little link-up. 🙂

  1. Looks like such a great little weekend! Wishing you the best school year ever!

    1. Thank you so much, Holly!

  2. I think comments are closed on the Southwest Chicken Bowls so I hope it’s ok to comment HERE that I made them tonight and they were delicious! We don’t have a grill so I made the chicken in the air fryer with a little taco seasoning for flavor since it wouldn’t have that smokey grill flavor. Oh and the 95-yo does better with brown rice so I’m happy to say the lime juice and cilantro were very tasty with the brown rice. I wasn’t sure about that but it works!! I’m already looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

    1. Thank you so much, Jinjer!! Your comment was so sweet, and it made my day! I hope you’re having a fabulous day!

What a fun weekend! I love that Joey and Addison got to go out on a little camping adventure. And I had no idea that they made that book into a movie! I read the book so now I feel I have to see the movie!! Thanks for sharing.
