Friday morning, Addison and I were super excited because this childhood store just opened back up. It burned probably 5 years ago and slowly made its way back. We were able to get our homemade biscuits again.
Friday after school, we headed out for a weekend camping trip!
We were all set up and ready to relax about 5. Milo was excited too!
Addison changed into her swimsuit, and we headed up to the water park before the rain started.
I did a lot of reading this weekend, which was great! I’m definitely enjoying Problematic Summer Romance. I am loving the characters!
After the quick rain shower, we walked around the park and over to the river.
Addison enjoyed some bike riding and pickleball playing.
We loved that this park had so much to do for everyone!
Friday night, I read a bit and fell asleep around 10. It was so nice!
We were up early Saturday morning. Unfortunately we found out last minute Addison had dance tryouts on Saturday. Luckily we weren’t camped too far from home, so we could drive back for the few hours.
I was even able to get the house mopped and some laundry done while she was at the dance studio.
She said the audition went well. We were very proud of her for trying something different. I guess we will hear back soon!
Once back at camp, we all got our swimsuits on and headed to the pool area. It was HOT! We definitely were feeling the sun. We met a sweet family and Addison enjoyed playing with the daughter. Fun fact, their birthdays are only 2 days apart. 🙂
Mom & Dad drove over for a bit and hung out.
We grilled some steaks, potatoes and veggies at camp.
We definitely needed to walk it off after. We took the kids up to the play area. Milo was definitely up for tagging along too!
The kids rode bikes for a long time, and I love that they were spending time outside playing.
When it started getting dark, we lit the gas fire bowl and made s’mores. One of the best things to do while camping. We used these smore sticks, and they’re great! They are telescopic and the handles are very sturdy. They come with a nice carrying bag too.
Addison’s new friend, Bryn, and her Mom came over for a bit. We enjoyed the extra company.
Sunday morning, we slept until 8:20! We were all shocked!
We ate a bite of breakfast. I tried to tidy up a few things, and I took her up to the pool area for just a little bit. We had to be all checked out by 11.
Once we were back home, it’s always everyone going 90 mph. We unload everything. I get laundry going. Then we had to also meal prep lunch and breakfast for the week.
Joey had a meeting at church yesterday afternoon.
Addison & I went to eat with Mom & Dad. She cooked a Low Country Boil. It was so yummy! We brought Joey back some home. She said for her favorite son n’ law. Haha!
That wraps up our weekend!
