**What’s up Wednesday** {8.27.2025}

what's up wednesday new graphic

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday, we went to lunch after church, so we didn’t really eat a full meal that night.

Sunday

Monday: Spaghetti

Tuesday: Chicken Tacos with Rice

Wednesday: Leftover Spaghetti

Thursday: Chicken Wings with Salad and Fries

Friday: Not sure yet.

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

All these first day/ first month of school memories are so sweet.

These were from 2019 when they had school with Aunt Cindy!

And then my little ballerina.

And here is 2020. Weird mask wearing times.

Here’s 2021 where she was dancing and playing soccer.

And also in 2022. The no front teeth year. 🙂

And in 2023. This was her first year with me at my school.

And last year in 2nd grade.

3. What I’m Loving:

I am still loving these Fresh Wave Odor Removing Gel  containers. They’re great for removing pet and food odors.

I also just ordered the variety Azuna kitI ordered the Amalfi Breeze, Simply Citrus, Aromatherapy and Natural. They have a Tea Tree Essential Oil base, so I like that.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We started off the month with all the first day of school pictures.

We got ears re-pierced for Round 2. Fingers crossed. They’re still doing good!

We got pedicures for the new school year.

Addison started back to dance classes for the new dance year. She’s taking ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre.

She lost 2 more teeth this month!

We celebrated Hayes turning 4 with a pool party!

Sharon & I had a fun Saturday girl’s morning.

We went for a short camping weekend trip and had so much fun!

We enjoyed a Braves game celebrating our favorite team! Even though it wasn’t a W, we still had so much fun!

We enjoyed after church lunch with friends!

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 🙂

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on this blog post and looking over lots of beginning of the year data and making spreadsheets  and schedules.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we have planned next month. And the beginning of the -ber months which is always exciting!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I’ve been reading, Problematic Summer Romance, every moment I can. Which isn’t much time. But it’s so cute!! I’m loving the characters and the fun story line. You should definitely read this one!

Maya Killgore is twenty-three and still in the process of figuring out her life.

Conor Harkness is thirty-eight, and Maya cannot stop thinking about him.

It’s such a cliché, it almost makes her heart implode: older man and younger woman; successful biotech guy and struggling grad student; brother’s best friend and the girl he never even knew existed. As Conor loves to remind her, the power dynamic is too imbalanced. Any relationship between them would be problematic in too many ways to count, and Maya should just get over him. After all, he has made it clear that he wants her gone from his life.

But not everything is as it seems—and clichés sometimes become plot twists.

When Maya’s brother decides to get married in Taormina, she and Conor end up stuck together in a romantic Sicilian villa for over a week. There, on the beautiful Ionian coast, between ancient ruins, delicious foods, and natural caves, Maya realizes that Conor might be hiding something from her. And as the destination wedding begins to erupt out of control, she decides that a summer fling might be just what she needs—even if it’s a problematic one.

Problematic Summer Romance

I finally finished all seasons through 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing. It has so many twists and turns, and I’m so sad I have to wait for a new season to see what happens.

I’m starting to watch the newest season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. It’s a little sappy right now and a little dramatic, but I still like it. Are you team Jer or team Conrad? I really do find myself rooting for Conrad, but I’m only through Season 3, episode 3 right now, so I’m sure lots more drama is to come!

I watched My Oxford Year this month, and it was so good! I enjoyed it, and I cried.

9. What I’m Listening To:

Not a thing at the moment.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I have ordered a few things from a favorite little boutique, Jules & James

I ordered this Fun in Floral Cream Maxi Dress. The colors are oh so pretty! It has like a watercolor effect. I love the ribbon detailing around the neck and sleeves. So classy! It’s perfect for teaching in or going to church. I actually wore it this past Sunday to church.

August 20 8

This Rosy Daydream Maxi Dress got me a lot of comments. I loved the print! I loved the ruffles around the sleeves and waist. I loved that it had pockets!! So gorgeous!

August 20 13

Womp Womp… I’m very sad because this favorite dress is already sold out within a few days. It’s just that good!  Maybe it will come back in stock. It has the cutest fit with pockets! I love the ribbon detail around the sleeves and neckline. So cute! I’ll be sure to share the link if it comes back in stock! 😉

Look how cute these Corkys Clogs are. If you’ve ever worn Corky’s, you know they’re good! I can wear them all day teaching, and my feet still feel fine. They have tons of cushion and support. These also come in black

I wore this shirt to school and got lots of compliments.  I love this saying! I have had these pink pants for about a year and are sold out. But, I found these on Amazon, and they look similar!

You can do hard things tee Hot Pink Pants (similar) Shell Slide Sandals

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

It’s Labor Day Weekend!! I definitely want to rest some, but I also want to do something fun too! So, to be determined. 😉

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

Next month I hope we start some Fall festivities. We also have a beach trip planned, and we have a week off from school. So, lots to look forward to!

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

Have you guys heard of Medicube on Amazon? It’s all the rage right now, and I know why! The ingredients are clean, and it’s been called the Better than Botox skincare. This Collagen Night Mask is amazing!! Did you ever enjoy peeling Elmer’s glue off things in Elementary school? Well, this is a little like that! Haha! I use the Applicator Brush to brush it on my face. I usually apply it right before bed, let it dry and go to sleep. Then, in the morning, it’s like peeling off that glue! I have been applying it 1-2 nights a week.

I also just ordered this Freeman Flirty Feet Exfoliating SprayIt definitely has been helping get rough/dry spots off.

14. What Else Is New:

If you made it this far, that’s it!

Thank you all for reading. I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!
