Friday, we had a bake off at school.
I entered my Ooey Gooey Red Velvet bars.
I guess everyone loved them too because I won 1st place!
Friday after school, Addison had to have some teeth work. They were redoing her sealants, so she had to have some anesthesia and laughing gas. She was cracking me up singing and saying silly things. She did great though!
We had to head to the grocery store on the way home. Publix had my favorite winter peonies!! They made me so happy!
We wanted a tree for the outside patio. We haven’t had a chance to head to a Christmas tree farm, so I suggested just get a Charlie Brown tree from the woods.
Well Joey came in clutch with the Charlie Brown tree. Hahaha!
Saturday morning, I got up first thing and did some cleaning and laundry.
Then we had to get ready to go watch Adalynn in her Winter Dance performance.
She is doing Lyrical this year, and she looked beautiful!
We were so happy to cheer on the beautiful dancer!
After the performance, we headed home to let the dog out and eat a little snack before heading to Marietta to put our name on the wait list at Marietta Melt Yard.
We try to hit up the Home Alone themed pop up every year, but there’s always a long wait, so we have to get there early and get our name in.
Thankfully, there was only an hour wait this year. I snapped so many pics of all the fun props.
The menu and some drinks are even themed for Home Alone.
Her poor little mouth was still sore and a little swollen from her dental work. We had lots of fun checking everything out and watching Home Alone while we ate.
After eating, we drove a little ways to Life of Lights at Life University.
We pulled up to do the walk through area first. Thankfully, the cold front had not arrived yet, and the weather was really mild. I didn’t even need a jacket.
Trying to fit in all the Christmas cheer!
After walking around, we headed back to our car to drive through the lights.
We left the Christmas lights, and this other light sign called us in…. Haha! Hot glazed donut so good to wrap up the night.
Elfie zip lined in on Sunday morning. Addison was cracking up.
Addison and I took the day to make all the Christmas treats. She was a great helper!
Last night we went to Mom & Dad’s house for dinner. The temps had dropped, and it was so cold outside!
I hope you guys have a cheer-filled week! We have festive dress up days every day. No normalcy around here. Haha!
