Friday afternoon, I left my house, headed to pick up Shannon & Whitley and headed out for a little girl’s getaway.
We weren’t going too far from home. We drove a little over an hour to Lake Lanier Islands Resort. The weather wasn’t too great for us on Friday. It rained off and on most of the afternoon.
We got checked in, and I snapped a few pics of our room. Here’s one of our beds with the balcony in the background.
Concierge had left us a Wine Bottle in the fridge. We really weren’t sure why.
I snapped some pics from our balcony of the lake.
Since it was so rainy, we hopped on the shuttle and rode over to the little game room building. We realized very quickly that we didn’t want to hang out long because there were lots of kids here. Between all of us, we have 15 kids.
Amazon Casual Summer Set (Whitley & I both have the same one. Mine is in the Iced Blue. Hers is the black)
We were able to get back to the resort, hang out for a few minutes and get dressed up for dinner at the marina.
My Maxi Dress is so comfortable and has pockets. It comes in other colors and patterns. You can find it on Amazon here: Amazon Summer Maxi with Pockets
Here we all are hanging out and enjoying some girl time.
In the second picture, I cracked up… I didn’t notice it at the time, but later. The kid in the background was grinning for the picture. Hahaha!
I had a yummy frozen drink, and we shared some ooey chocolate lava cake for dessert.
This was one side of the table. Sweet, beautiful friends who are like family.
This was the other side of the family with more pretty ladies.
Once it got darker, a great band came on that planned popular 70’s to now songs. We were having the best time singing and dancing to all the songs. Everyone else was having a great time too!
At one point, a lit up fairy lady came down to dance and entertain us.
This duck was cracking us up… any time anyone would walk by him… he would literally peck their feet. We couldn’t stop laughing at it happening.
Saturday morning, Whitley, Shannon and I walked down to get some Iced Coffee. It was our only day, so we wanted to make the most of it and head to the pool early. Thankfully, there was no rain!
I took some pictures from up on the pool deck.
Tried to finish Our Perfect Storm, so Shannon could take it, but I couldn’t finish. I was too distracted and having too much fun to read. But, it’s sooo good! I have flown through reading it.
After hanging at the pool from about 10 til 3, we headed up to take off wet stuff and drive to Landshark which is part of the Margaritaville area still on the island.
It was a great meal to end our trip.
After eating, we headed back toward home and got home about 7:00. We had the best time, and it was great to getaway right before school started.
Yesterday, I slept until about 8. I was so tired. We went to church and stopped by Publix on the way back home.
We cleaned our little inflatable pool. Then went to eat dinner with Mom & Dad.
I snapped pics of Milo on the drive. He was excited to see Nonna & Pappaw.
Adalynn came over last night. She’s spending the night and my Mom is coming over today to watch the girls while I’m at work.
I hope you guys have a great week!
