It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
Sunday: Picked up BBQ to eat with Mom & Dad… Chopped BBQ pork & chicken, Fried Okra, Baked Beans, Mac & Cheese
Monday: White Chicken Enchiladas, Rice, Refried Beans
Tuesday: Sausage & Spinach Tortellini
Wednesday: Leftover BBQ
Thursday: Leftover enchiladas
Friday: Leftover Sausage tortellini
Saturday: Kitchen’s closed!
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
Look at all these sweet first day memories.
These were from 2020
And in 2021.. because of her birthday, she did the TK class.
Here’s my Kinder cutie in 2022.
Fast forward to last year for the start of 3rd grade.
3. What I’m Loving:
We are loving that it’s almost time to put out our Fall decorations.
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
We started off the month with the first day back to school! It was a great start to the 2026-27 year!
Shannon and I took the girls to first Friday in our downtown area. We had so much fun eating, walking around, and singing to our favorite country songs.
Addison started volleyball and still loves it! She’s so excited to have 2 of her girlfriends on her team.
My sweet friend’s Brit & Caroline surprised me. I loved catching up and spending some much needed quality time together.
Addison and I enjoyed a sweet treat.
Joey was gone over half the month working in Florida, and we are so happy he’s back home.
We enjoyed cheering on Blaine and his friends. The girls weren’t into the game, so they were thankful to have each other to hang out with.
5. What I’m Dreading:
We have some sickness in our family right now. I am dreading some of the hard days to come, but I’m always praying and hopeful it will provide healing.
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on planning out all our sporting events and everything else that needs added to a calendar.
7. What I’m Excited About:
I am really excited about all the Fall things.
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
I recently finished Abby Jimenez’s newest novel, The Night We Met.
I really enjoyed this one. I loved the characters and all the sweet gestures. I would definitely recommend reading this one!
Here’s what Amazon says…
In everyone’s life, there’s a split-second decision that can change everything …
For Larissa, it came when choosing who to ride home with after a concert. That night, she had no idea she’d met the perfect man. She and Chris are great friends, co-parenting a slightly unhinged rescue Yorkie, sharing their favorite books, and judging bread (pumpernickel for the win!). For the first time amid all her side hustles to scrape by, things finally feel easy.
But she didn’t choose Chris to drive her home all those months ago—she went with his best friend, and he became her boyfriend. All Chris wants is for Larissa to be happy. Standing by on the sidelines is slowly killing him, but making a move would destroy someone else.
How can something that feels so right be absolutely impossible?
I finished up watching the newest season of Ransom Canyon. It had a lot of drama and romance sprinkled in. I enjoyed it.
9. What I’m Listening To:
Not a thing at the moment. Everyone is asleep.
10. What I’m Wearing:
Addison’s Shirt (with water spots): American Eagle Soft Crew Neck Waffle Tee
My Fit from Amazon: Oversized White Tee / Wide Leg Flowy Pants with Pockets
These black Vervet pants have been on rotation lately.
I recently ordered these Vuori Halo Wide-Leg Sweatpants and am very excited to wear them this fall. I love anything Vuori. The material is so good!
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
We don’t really have anything set in stone. All I know is we have Volleyball practice Saturday morning. Hopefully some time to relax.
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
Hopefully we can make it up to the apple orchards at some point. We also have our Fall break later next month. Not sure what kind of things we may get into.
13. Favorite Amazon Find:
I recently ordered these clear drawer organizers for Addison’s bathroom drawers. They have been great for giving everything a place.
14. What Else Is New:
If you made it this far, thank you! That is all!
I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!
