It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and it’s the last Wednesday of the school year!
On this day, I link up with Mix and Match MamaandSheaffer.I share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately.
1. What We Are Eating This Week:
This week, with it being the last week of school, I am literally just grabbing whatever I can find.
Monday we had Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, and Sautéed vegetables
Tuesday was BBQ sandwiches with coleslaw and French fries.
Wednesday is Grilled chicken with vegetables.
Thursday is a hodge podge of leftovers.
Friday is Girl’s Night Out!
I am including my Burnt Broccoli recipe below because a lot of you asked me for it. It’s so super easy!
I just wash and cut up my broccoli and put on a baking sheet. I set the oven to 425 degrees.
I usually put about a Tablespoon of Olive Oil. Then, I sprinkle on some seasoning. I usually do salt, pepper, and some Greek seasoning. I cook it until it’s nice and crispy. I like it pretty much burnt. So, maybe about 20 minutes give or take. I like lots of crunchiness.
This is how I feel about our lunches right now. Ha!
2. What I’m Reminiscing About:
I had a lot of memories pop up on social media.
Like this gem from a concert 10 years ago. I am pretty sure it was Country Fest, and it was so hot!
This was from 10 years ago. It was one of my best friend’s wedding and our first wedding as a couple.
I had a bunch of Mother’s day memories pop up. Like this one of me and Donna “Mable” from 7 years ago.
Mother’s Day 3 years ago.
Mother’s Day 2 years ago.
3. What I’m Loving:
I’m loving my Bogg bag! I got it for Mother’s day, and I’m super excited to use it this summer! I got mine at a boutique near me called, Palmetto Moon, but they have them at other small boutiques. They also have them at Dillards.
I will definitely be including my COOLA sunscreen in my beach bag. It’s my favorite, and I love the smell!
4. What We’ve Been Up To:
We went to the strawberry patch this month.
Enjoyed a sweet Mother’s day.
We had Addison’s dance recital. It was so precious!
5. What I’m Dreading:
I’m not dreading anything right now because we have 2 more school days!!. 😉
6. What I’m Working On:
I’m working on closing out the school year and this blog post.
I also need to be thinking about vacations coming up in the next few weeks.
7. What I’m Excited About:
I am so excited that Summer is almost here! It’s so close! I’m excited about all the fun things we have planned and just sleeping in and relaxing. 🙂
8. What I’m Watching/Reading:
Ya’ll, I’ve been watching “Jane, the Virgin”, and I’m loving it. So, it’s very unrealistic, but it’s hilarious and light with a little bit of mystery and a whole lot of drama. It’s been super fun to watch! I’m only on Season 2, but I’m enjoying it!
I just finished “The Perfect Marriage“. It was a very cleverly written psychological thriller. I kept guessing who I thought the killer was. I was guessing up until the very end. When it was finally revealed, I was shocked. I would definitely recommend this one if you like thrillers.
I just started reading “The Newcomer“. I can’t wait to have time to actually read.
If you missed my Summer book To-Read list, check it out here.
9. What I’m Listening To:
Addison has something playing on Netflix as I’m working on this blog post.
10. What I’m Wearing:
I’m loving these shorts from Old Navy! I want to get them in all the colors. They’re so comfortable!
Right now the Loft is having a great sale! Tees, Tanks, & Shorts are 50% off. Almost everything else is 40% off!
11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:
It is Memorial Day weekend, which is one of my favorite holidays. Saturday morning, we have to be somewhere pretty early. Then, we have tickets to go see the circus/fair that evening.
I am hoping we get some pool time in.
If you missed my post on Memorial Day Must-haves, it’s right here.
12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
VACAY!!! Sleeping in! Lots of Snuggle Time!
13. What Else is New:
I saw this on social media, and it made me laugh so hard… so true!
Thank you all for reading. I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday!

We make broccoli like that too; I like to season it with garlic salt.

I’m going to try the broccoli recipe! Enjoy your last few days of school. Our last day is June 28th so we’ve got awhile to go…
