**What’s up Wednesday** {11.29.2023}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month. I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer and sharing what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post. 

Oh…. this is such an exciting time of year! 

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: I made Joey’s favorite, not mine… Fried Salmon patties, mashed potatoes, lima beans, fried okra

Monday: Jambalaya

Tuesday: Leftovers from Sunday

Wednesday: Out to eat. Addison has her Christmas dance rehearsal

Thursday: Leftover Jambalaya

Friday: North Pole Breakfast

Saturday: Kitchen’s closed! 

2. What I’m Reminiscing About: 

All these birthday and Turkey memories make me so happy. 

These were from 2019 when our American Girl doll café was still open. Sadly, it’s gone now. 

And here is 2020. 

Here we are on our awesome girl’s trip to Asheville when we stayed at the Grove Park Inn. 

Here we are in 2021.

And our girl’s trip this year was to Nashville! 

And last year… such sweet memories. 

Last years girl’s trip was to our College town of Dahlonega. 

3. What I’m Loving:

I love this time of year and all the lights around the house. 

I just ordered this garland from Vallari Decor on Etsy, and I am so in love. It’s so beautiful and so realistic! It came with little fairy lights. My specific style is the Real Touch Norfolk pine and is currently sold out. 🙁 Mine was the 68″ length. Hopefully they will restock.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

I started off the month going to the winery with some girlfriends. 

We have celebrated Addison throughout the entire month. 

We enjoyed a little friend’s trip to the mountains. 

We had a great time with family celebrating Thanksgiving. 

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not really dreading anything right now. 😉  Just not looking forward to Winter and cold temperatures arriving. 

6. What I’m Working On: 

I’m working on so many things… my ADHD is in overdrive right now! 

Christmas Ordering, Christmas To-do things, School Meetings & Scheduling, Winter School- Wide Testing, Blog Post, Keep the house running… so much more! 

 

7. What I’m Excited About: 

I am really excited about all the fun things happening the next few weeks! But I don’t want them to fly by. 

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I have been so crazy busy this month that I haven’t really finished a book… so I have no reading to share with you all! However, I have bought a couple Christmas books, so I’m hoping to get to reading those soon! 

I have been watching all the Christmas movies!!! And loving every minute of it! 🙂

We have already watched Home Alone, the Grinch and lots of Hallmark movies. However, we will be watching Christmas Vacation soon! 

9. What I’m Listening To:

10. What I’m Wearing: 

I don’t have a lot to share with you regarding what I’ve been wearing. 

I have been wearing these Mia Chelsea boots! Most sizes are out of stock right now.  However, these Target Celina boots are awesome too and are at Target! 

I’m wearing them with my go-to Black Wit & Wisdom Jeans. They never let me down.

At night, I’m still wearing my Soma Cool Nights Pajamas  and loving them! They had a great Cyber/Black Friday sale this past week, so I snagged a few more pairs. 

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend: 

This weekend we have lots going on…. Friday night is our annual North Pole Breakfast. Our Elf arrives! Once that’s done, we are going to see our first Christmas parade for the year. 

I’m not sure what we have going on Saturday. Hopefully spreading more Christmas cheer. Haha!

On Sunday, we have Addison’s Christmas Dance Recital, and we can’t wait! 🙂

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

CHRISTMAS!!!! All the fun and all the family time! I’m excited about Christmas break too. 🙂

My poor Slip Pillowcase finally bit the dust. So, I just ordered this one from Amazon that is 100% pure mulberry silk and has amazing reviews. I can’t wait to start using it. 🙂
