**Hello Monday** {10.28.2024}

Hello Monday! We had a gorgeous October weekend! The colors are starting to come out around here, and we got a little cooler weather yesterday. 

Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

My Daddy was a Marine, and I’m having to prepare things for our Veteran’s Day ceremony. We had to submit photos of participating Veterans. Mom found a couple to send in. I’m so proud of my Dad and his service. 

Friday, we had our 2nd annual Bake-off at school. I forgot to snap many pictures. I think we had 16 entries. 

I ended up getting a 3rd place prize. 

Friday night we grabbed a quick bite with Mom for dinner. 

Saturday morning, I did a bit of cleaning and laundry. 

Then we went to some stores with Mom. Addison said her stomach was hurting, but she quickly perked up when they were giving away free ice cream as we shopped. Haha! 

Saturday night we went to Trunk or Treat with some friends. It was at Shannon’s church, and the girls always love it! 

This girl loves a good face paint. 

The Barbie set up was all created by my colleague/friend Amy. She always goes above and beyond. We loved all the different Barbie and Kens! 

We snapped a quick pic of the girls. We go way back to Middle School. Of course now, one is my sis n’ law. 🙂

And we had to get a pic of the girls too! 

We got home, watched a movie with Mom. She ended up staying the night. Sleepovers for the win! 

Sunday, we had an easy morning. I did some house managerial things that is no fun, ever like paying bills. 

Then Addison and I made a run to the store. The leaves are definitely changing this weekend. 

We made a stop by Home Depot! Addison just had to take a stroll through the Christmas displays. 

And of course, I was definitely okay with that. 

That evening, we took food over to my Papa’s house and ate dinner with him. It’s always special when we spend time together.

    My dad was also a Marine. Thank you to your father for his service. Is he from Erwin? I know that area very well (I went to ETSU). Erwin was really hit hard during Helene. Congratulations on your cookie win! Have a fun Halloween week!

      Thank you, Joyce! He is from Erwin. He grew up in the tiny unincorporated region of Coffee Ridge, up on the mountains. We get to go up every now and then, but he and my Mom try to get 3 or 4 times a year to visit family. That’s awesome! Yes, they were actually staying with cousins in Johnson City when Helene hit. It was devastating! So sad! Our family friends live very close to the hospital that flooded and had to be evacuated to the roof. They lost a lot, but thankfully their house was spared. I hope you have a fun Halloween week! 🙂
