**Weekend Recap** {Easter Edition 2020}

Happy Monday everybody!! Well, our Easter weekend looked a lot different than normal, but we were still able to worship with each other in our home and have some Easter fun.

We started off by making some mini Easter cheesecakes and dying eggs at Nonna’s.

Joey was off on Friday, and we wanted to get a lot of the little projects done. We started by going to Lowe’s and getting stone to border our new flower bed and get some dirt and mulch. Then, we got to work. Remember the before….

The final product.

We also planted some things in the garden… peppers, more potatoes, peas, and cucumbers.

After we worked most of the day, Joey got out the grill to make some yummy hibachi!

He did a great job… it was delicious!

We even had air fryer smores for dessert.

Saturday, Joey did some more work outside. He pressure washed the porches then mowed grass.  I worked on cleaning and organizing the inside of the house.

****************************************************************

We had some Easter egg hunts planned because bad storms were scheduled to come in on Easter Sunday.

First stop was Grandma’s house. Addison was so excited to see Adalynn. She sure has missed her cousin.

Second stop….. Nonna and Papaw’s house.

This silly squirrel got so close to us. We really thought it was going to jump on us to get some eggs. Haha!

It gave me a mental image of Clark Griswold and the squirrel in their house at Christmas.

We ran to town to get some food to go… when we drove up, I noticed an egg in the front yard. Then, we saw the sweetest note from our besties…. Literally made me tear up! Such a sweet thing and so super sad we missed them. We had lots of fun searching for the eggs and chocolate bunny.

After we ate, Addison had fun playing in her room. I keep all her cards from all the birthdays. She loves pulling them out and reading them.

Then it was off to bed, so the Easter Bunny could come….. And he did!

We watched a few different Church services, and Addison enjoyed serenading us.

We hung around and took it easy most of the day. I didn’t have much to cook just creamed corn, deviled eggs, and Honey Baked Ham. 😉

We took our Easter Bunny pics before we left to go to Nonna’s.

And giving him a kiss. 😉

We enjoyed eating with Nonna and Papaw.

Addison enjoyed eating her mini cheesecake that she made.

We took a plate and dropped off for Joey’s Granny and my Papa. We were sad just to give them a wave, but we know we need to keep them safe.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We loved having Joey home with us for three days. I enjoyed relaxing and playing with Addison during my spring break. I’m back to digital learning this week. I will see you back here on Wednesday for our second Let’s Look linkup for the month. Thank you all for reading!! 🙂
