Hello Monday Weekend Recap

**Hello Monday** {1.12.2026}

Hey Hey Monday!! How are you? We had a pretty chill weekend.

Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

Friday, after school, I worked until almost 4, then headed home for some short rest time before we all headed to celebrate Emma’s birthday! She turned 19 in December, but had the flu. So, we finally got to all get together to celebrate!

I read People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry way back in 2023. I loved it then! I loved the characters, I loved all the travel. It’s a book that will stick with you. When I heard they were making a move adaptation, I was pumped!

Joey and I watched it Friday night. I actually did really like the movie! Did I like it as good as the book, of course not. But, I already want to watch it again. I don’t like how they skipped over some trips and changed some locations, but I’m sure there was a reason. If you have read the book or haven’t read the book, I would recommend watching it! It actually brought back my faith in Rom-Coms. Hopefully they’re on the upswing again!

I have taken all the ornaments off my tree, but I still love the glow of the lights in the winter. So, I typically  leave up some winter trees and greenery during January.

Early morning snuggles with Milo and some reading time are the best with some coffee on Saturday morning. Addison spent the night with Mom & Dad the night before, so it was extra quiet and calm.

One Day in December

Addison got this DIY Journal Kit for Christmas, and I ended up ordering one for one of Addison’s friend’s birthday presents. She loves it and worked on it over the weekend.

Saturday was a yucky weather day! It rained hard and even stormed. I’m hoping this means it may bring us some snow in a few days! Haha!

Joey, unfortunately, had to work. I worked on organizing a lot, cleaning the bathrooms, putting some more Christmas things away, laundry and more things that just needed done. It actually was refreshing to feel some accomplishment.

Saturday afternoon, I met up with Mom & Addison to see if we could find some things at Ulta & Bath & Body Works.

I picked up this Moroccan Oil Scalp Balancing Shampoo (Link from Amazon) from Ulta. I have a very sensitive scalp that gets dry and itchy and even gets bumps, so I hope this may help with soothing it.

Joey got home around 4, we hung out for a little bit trying to decide what we wanted to eat for dinner. We finally decided on Longhorn’s steakhouse. I really like their Salmon.

Sunday morning, those rain and storms from Saturday, brought in a lot cooler weather with some wind. We had a lazy morning with lots of crafts.

Addison worked on a little bit of homework. She was not happy.

We went over to visit with my Aunt & Uncle, and of course Addison was talked into a donut. It wasn’t too hard. We enjoyed our visit.

Last night, we went over to visit and eat dinner with Mom & Dad. She finished up her Encanto puzzle.

We headed home and had to do all the night time routine things to get ready for the week. I hope you have a good one!

I’ll be sharing a link-up on Wednesday!
