Summer is Here!

Summer is finally here!! School is out!! I love this time of year when we can relax, sleep, read some good chick lit, catch up with friends and family, sleep some more.. Ha!

Who am I kidding… I have a two year old who never stops.

We started off the weekend with lots of fun outside. We went out early because the heat was brutal later in the day.

Doesn’t everyone wear rain boots to play outside.

Giggles was watching something…. ready to pounce at any moment.

Sunday evening we had my Papa’s 89th and my Uncle Bill’s 99th Birthday parties. They have the same birthday just 10 years apart. 🙂 A crazy storm came up quickly as we were setting up. We hunkered down and thankfully it blew over rather quickly. A little rain never hurt anyone… 🙂

There were a ton of people. We all had a great time. It was awesome seeing so many people that you don’t often see. We are very blessed to celebrate and have these two in our lives. Love family time!! (Addison loves sporting her Matilda Jane) And the best bows come from here. onestopbowshop

On Monday, we met up with a teacher friend. The kiddos swam. Her kids are so sweet to Addison. We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the day.

Addison fell off the float and got scared. After that, she would only sit on the steps and eat a whole bunch of watermelon. I bet she ate almost a half of a watermelon. #lotsofpottybreaks

On Tuesday, we met up with my sister n’law and mother n’law at our little town’s splash pad with my nieces. The weather was quite nice. It was overcast and breezy which was great. However, when the breeze caught the water, it was rather chilly. Loving our Matilda Jane. <3
