Weekend Recap {8.5.19}

We had a great jam-packed weekend! It was the perfect amount of rest and exploring. I’m going to highlight some of our fun!

After a long week of preparing and two days of teaching, I told Joey, “Kitchen’s closed”. We went out Friday night and saw a lot of people that had the same idea I had. Ha! Mostly teachers. #exhausted

Saturday morning, we slept in until 7:30. I got up and cleaned some then headed to Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. A teacher’s wallet is never full. We always have something to buy. I got some cute things to go with my farmhouse theme.

We headed north Saturday around lunch in search of some peaches. I wanted a few to eat and some to freeze. #lovemeagapeach

We went to a few different places but ended up getting some peaches and peach ice cream at R and A orchards in Ellijay.

We left there and drove to Carter’s Lake. We saw some beautiful countryside.

Here we are at the dam.

And then here came a big gust of wind….

We went to eat seafood that night at a restaurant called Last Catch. We hadn’t ever eaten there before, but it was very yummy! We will definitely be back.

Sunday, we got up and just lazed around. I did some lesson plans, laundry and cleaning. Joey ran to Home Depot. Addison played and watched Toy Story. #forthebillionthtime Anyone else’s child obsessed with Toy Story right now?

After lunch, we went with my Dad and Mom to the Jeep and Truck Fest in Atlanta. We had lots of fun looking. I ordered some new mats for my car. Joey got nothing. #Itoldhimtheywereforbothofus #hereallydidn’tseeanything

Can I get in, Mom? Sure, why not.

Thank you for reading!! I hope you guys had a great, restful weekend! Let’s get pumped for a fun week ahead!
