**What’s Up Wednesday** {4.29.2020}

It’s the last Wednesday of the month which means, I’m joining up with the blogs Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer to bring you What’s Up Wednesday. I will share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us lately, which hasn’t been a whole lot lately. This has continued to be an interesting month/year that’s for sure!

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: BBQ pork, Mac N Cheese, Brunswick Stew

Monday: Mexican to go to celebrate my Dad’s birthday!

Tuesday: Chicken Casserole (pictures below), Green Beans, Zucchini, Rice

Wednesday: Jambalaya

Thursday: Leftover Chicken Casserole

Friday: Hamburger’s/Hotdogs – Camping Out

Saturday: Camping Out, so Grilling out! Suggestions please! 😉

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

All of these Easter memories have been popping up lately.

This was last year’s Spring Break. Makes me wish I was at the beach right now.

This was a year ago when we went to see Disney on Ice for Adalynn’s birthday. It was so much fun!! We can’t wait to go back!

This memory popped up on April 24th from 3 years ago. I miss my little Pippa everyday. 🙁

She was such a good dog!

3. What I’m Loving:

I’m loving all the special programs they’ve been airing on TV lately. We especially loved singing along to these Disney favorites.

Our fridge went out late last Tuesday night. Sad day! 🙁

Our new one was delivered this past Monday, so I am definitely Loving having a fridge in the kitchen again. I was getting really tired of going up and down stairs when I needed something from the refrigerator.

Here’s our new fridge!!

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

I have been doing online chats/classes with my students. I sure do miss them!

We went to the drive thru petting zoo this past weekend which was super fun!

We have had birthday parades/small celebrations!

We have also been doing some home improvement/tasks… Like building a play room.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I’m not dreading anything right now. I’m just hopeful that all this Covid-19 mess goes away, and we can get back to semi-normal. I miss my family and friends. 🙁

6. What I’m Working On:

I’m working on online school work/assignments and this blog post….

I have been working on packing up my classroom this week for the summer. It’s very strange that all of this is happening right now. I never would have thought that anything like this would ever happen.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am excited about hopefully getting back to normal soon. We are going to the beach in June, hopefully! Keeping my fingers crossed!! Big time!!

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

I just started watching The Baker and the Beauty. It’s really cute so far. Just a fun show to watch.

I’ve read a lot more books lately because I have more time. I have enjoyed reading in the afternoon, while sitting in the sun, during Addison’s nap time.

At the beginning of the month I read The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory. This book was definitely Chick-Lit. It’s pretty predictable, but I still really liked it.

She also wrote The Wedding Date. I really enjoyed this book, so I thought I’d try some other books by her.

My latest book that I just finished was Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah. It was really good! It was a little dark like a lot of her novels, but I enjoyed it. It kept me thinking and trying to figure out the little girl’s past.

I’m currently reading Twice in a Blue Moon. I just started it, and so far I’m enjoying it. It’s definitely Chick-lit. It’s one of those stories that it starts in the past and is going to flash forward to present day. I haven’t gotten to the present day yet. 🙂 I’ll keep you posted!

(Thank you Amazon for all the books!)

9. What I’m Listening To:

I have been listening to a lot of Disney Junior and Disney + while I have been teaching in the dining room.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I’ve been wearing mostly t-shirts, stretchy pants and jeans lately. #nowheretogo

I did recently order a new pajama set. Soma’s Cool Nights pajamas are definitely my favorite! Here’s a link to the one I ordered. 😉

This link will take you to all Cool Nights.

I have also been ordering some random things from Jane and some other online FB boutiques like Roxy Moxy Boutique and Jules and James boutique. Do any of you ever order things from Jane? I have been happy with everything I’ve ordered off there.

Of course, I’ve ordered Addison loads of Matilda Jane and other stuff. She always seems to take all my our money.. Haha!!

11. What I’m Doing This Weekend:

We have planned to go camping this weekend and continue to practice social distancing. 😉

We just wanted to get away, enjoy some off the grid type activities, and have fun!

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

In May, we don’t really have a whole lot planned. We are ending school on May 8th, but I will continue to work with some students who need it through the 22nd. I may go see some friends, if the governor opens our state back up.

We will probably just continue to play outside and sun bathe as much as we can. 🙂

13. What Else is New:

Nothing really new around here… same scenery every day.

Thank you all for reading. I truly am thankful for all of you! I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday for Friday Favorites!!

xoxo

It’s my birthday on Saturday and I told my husband that all I want is a physically distant visit with my best friend and her family. I miss my friends so much!!!

I’m sorry your school year is ending this way. That’s really hard.

    Enjoy your camping weekend!

I really enjoyed Magic Hour; Kristen Hannah always seems to tell a great story though doesn’t she? It is so lucky that you have a backup fridge to use when yours went in the kitchen! Love that new fridge too.

I always love how Kristin tells a great story! I can’t remember if I have read her book Home Front. I need to look into it. And yes, we are very lucky that we had a place to put our food. Thank you! Have a great day!! 🙂

What about foil packets with sausage, peppers, onion, taters? I think they are called hobo meals? Pinterest might have ideas? Camping sounds awesome! Don’t forget the cocktail to drink around the fire!
