**Hello Monday** {11.21.2022}

Hello Monday of Thanksgiving break!! We are ready to relax and recharge! We had a great girl’s getaway weekend and also sprinkled in one family Thanksgiving get together.

I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.

I had to share these pictures. I walked into one of my besties classroom to check in on her, and her students were doing the coolest thing… turkey races!!! How flippin’ fun is this! The kiddos were loving it and having a blast! Mrs. Diamond, you make learning so fun! 😉

Every year, this weekend, Britney, Caroline, Katy, and I try to plan a girl’s getaway. Two years ago, we went to Asheville, NC and loved it! Last year, we had a blast in Nashville, TN. This year, we wanted to reminisce about our college days, so we headed to Dahlonega, to relive our college days. -kindof… 😉

Sadly, Katy came down with sickness and couldn’t make it. We were super sad. Caroline planned to meet us up there after she dropped off her kiddos with her Mom. Britney met me at my house to ride up together.

Britney and I arrived a little after 5. We got unloaded and acclimated. Caroline wasn’t going to be able to be there until around 8. The little AirBNB was super cute and perfect for our needs. It was so accommodating and very clean!

Brit and I headed into town to grab some dinner. We decided to try out Shenanigan’s, on the square, and it was delicious! This place wasn’t open when we were in school there. It’s been a while. 😉

We weren’t holding back. We started off with chips n’ salsa, I got a grilled chicken sandwich, she got a buffalo chicken wrap, then we shared this delicious peanut butter pie that had drizzled, hardened chocolate on top.

We grabbed Caroline some food to go and headed back to the house. Once she arrived, we laughed hysterically and took many walks down memory lane with lots of stories.

The next morning, we had a slow morning. We watched some Netflix and slowly got ready for some lunch at Wolf Mountain Winery. Dahlonega has a lot of wineries in the area. The view was beautiful!

We arrived a little before lunch, so we walked around. The cafe had a beautiful view!

We moseyed outside and sat by the fire. It was quite chilly outside.

Once we sat down, we had a delicious lunch! This meal could rival my best meal ever. That pizza was amazing! Brit and I shared her club sandwich that was on a pretzel roll with beer cheese. Then, we had a trio dessert to top it off. Heavenly.

After lunch, we rolled back toward town and did a little drive through North Georgia’s campus. It’s changed and grown a lot, but it’s still so beautiful!

We grabbed some pictures by the arch. We still look like college students, right. 😉 Ha!

We had spa reservations that afternoon. It was perfect. I had a facial, microdermabrasion, and a pedicure. Amazing! I was so relaxed. I just needed rolled out of there.

We left the spa and walked around the square. There was some Christmas decorations up, but the bulk of lights hadn’t been turned on. We had to get some fudge and things from the fudge factory. I grabbed Addison some new Christmas sticker books from the toy store. It was very Stars Hollow-ish.

What a great trip we had! Laughing, relaxing and catching up. I always say girl trips are good for the soul.

I got home around lunchtime yesterday and began preparing things for Joey’s Granny’s Thanksgiving. I made this Peanut Butter cake. It was really good, but it was very rich!

The house is full of little girls and lots of giggles. They sure do have lots of fun!

We were able to snap a picture of them very quickly. 🙂
