**What’s up Wednesday** {3.29.2023}

It’s the  last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I share what has been going on with us lately. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

Grab your coffee, tea, margarita, or whatever you’re sipping on and settle in. 🙂

1. What We Are Eating This Week:

Sunday: We ate at Dad & Mom’s house. She made Pork Loin, Mac n’ Cheese, White Beans, steamed veggies, and blueberry cheesecake for dessert.

Monday: Chicken Taco Pie (modified with chicken from Andrea’s recipe)

Tuesday: Brisket, Sweet Potato, Brussels Sprouts

Wednesday: Hamburger Casserole with Peas & snaps

Thursday: Leftover Taco Pie

Friday: Out to Eat

2. What I’m Reminiscing About:

I love when this memory pops up from 2015 when my bestie, Caroline got hitched. We had the best weekend! And laughed so much!

Here’s my sweetie’s first St. Patrick’s Day back in 2017.

And, then here she is with my Papa Darby in 2018. So sweet.

This one was also in 2018.

This memory popped up from last year, and I will always remember this day. We were at our first gymnastics practice. She was on the tumble track, and her leg didn’t land on the spring part but on the side, at just the right angle. It fractured her tibia. Of course, I was just like, shake it off, you’re okay. But, she was not ok. 🙁 She was pitiful.

Thankfully, we got her all casted up and she was so much better. We had to carry her everywhere for about 3 weeks, and bath time was an adventure. Oh, what a memory.

3. What I’m Loving:

I’m loving that the weather is getting warmer, and we are able to get outside. We got our concrete pad poured last week. And now Joey is working on getting materials ordered to begin building the roof.

4. What We’ve Been Up To:

We started off our month with Joey and Addison having Daddy Daughter night.

Addison had a field trip, this month, to the Science museum, and I was able to join her.

We started back at Soccer. She is doing so much better and has become more confident.

5. What I’m Dreading:

I am dreading starting End of Year Testing in a few weeks….

6. What I’m Working On:

I have been working on packing for our Spring Break trip.

7. What I’m Excited About:

I am really excited about all the fun things we have planned next month and then moving into warmer weather months.

8. What I’m Watching/Reading:

Joey and I are still watching the new season of Outerbanks. It’s getting a little far fetched and more unbelievable. I keep thinking to myself, can’t they just be normal teenagers and have an off day. Haha!

Joey and I have been watching Daisy and the Six on Amazon Prime. Although I’ve read other Taylor Jenkins Reid books, I never read this one. But One True Loves was one of my favorite books of the year a few years back. So good!

We are enjoying this show! It’s actually one we both like, which is always good. 🙂

So, Joey and I are big fans of Yellowstone. I am a big fan of Hallmark. I saw this new series was starting this week, so gave it a shot and watched it on Sunday night. It was pretty good. Very Hallmark-ish, but still has some western vibes mixed throughout.

I just finished reading Colleen Hoover’s Regretting You this week. It was great! I would definitely put it up to one of my favorites of hers.

This is what Amazon’s summary says:

Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.

Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn’t have a spontaneous bone in her body.

With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris—Morgan’s husband, Clara’s father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.

Regretting You

9. What I’m Listening To:

Some Morgan Wallen. I’m loving his new album.

10. What I’m Wearing:

I have been wearing this coral top I ordered, from Amazon. I love the style with the ruffles along the side and the ruffled pocket. It can be worn casual or dressy. It will be perfect with shorts in the summer. I would order your normal size. And, right now, there’s a coupon to clip!

I have it paired with my Democracy bootcut pants. They have my favorite stretch “Absolution” technology! These are a definite favorite, especially to wear in the Spring!

Ruffle Sleeve Top Democracy White Bootcut Jeans Reef Sandals

I got this top a few months back from my favorite boutique, Jules & James. So many adorable things for Spring right now!

These itty bitty bootcut Wit & Wisdom jeans are also a favorite.

I also just snagged these Reef sandals this week. I love the wedge and the natural color. However, I will warn you. They are stiff for a little bit. You need to break them in. Right now, these are on sale depending on what color and style you choose! Mine are called Vintage.

My floral top is from Jules & James boutique. I love the puffed sleeves, and it has elastic underneath the arms. However, it’s not uncomfortable at all. It also has an adorable smocking at the top. My pants are from Nordstrom, and my favorite brand, Wit & Wisdom.

Sweetest Reflection Floral Top / Wit & Wisdom Stretch Pants

I also ordered this top from J&J. I love the print and all the fun colors.

The shirt I have on is actually from last year. It is Wit & Wisdom. I found this one from GAP that is very similar. My stretchy pink pants are here from Jules & James boutique.

12. What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:

Next month, I’m super excited about Easter, more soccer games, warmer weather, and lots of birthday parties!

13. Favorite Amazon Find:

Earlier this month, I posted about my favorite Amazon Finds. There were some good things! If you missed it, check it out here

This past month, I had to order some replacement parts for our Roomba. I snagged this replacement kit off Amazon, and it has worked perfectly for my needs.

14. What Else Is New:

I can’t think of anything else right now.

Thank you all for reading. I hope you have an awesome day!! See you back here on Friday! We are ready and counting down for our Spring Break!!
