**Myrtle Beach Vacation 2023** {7.5.2023}

Hey Hey Friends!! It’s already Wednesday!! I can’t believe July 4th is already over. As a teacher, once the 4th of July is past, I feel like our summer is over! 🙁

But today, I’m sharing a recap of our vacation in June.

We have camped at the same place, Myrtle Beach Travel Park, since I was about 2 years old. Growing up, we went every year and met lots of other families every summer at the same time. It was great growing up together!

So, since my parents still continue to go, we try to go with them at least one week. We left June 18th and headed that way. Just as an FYI, we have a 42 foot 5th Wheel camper.

Addison grabbed a Slushie for the ride. It takes us about 7-8 hours to get there from where we live.

We happened to arrive on Father’s day, so we did all the gifts after dinner.

We got all set up, and were in bed fairly early. We were all tired.

The next morning, Joey went for an early morning run. Addison and I headed for a walk on the beach.

We headed back up to the camper to get breakfast ready. Addison enjoyed some time in the hammock.

We got ready and quickly headed to the beach. The weather was nice with low humidity.

Joey accumulated some more girls to pull around on the boogie board. Haha!

I was living my best life, reading.

The True Love Experiment

Monday night, we headed to Bimini’s for some delicious seafood.

After our meal, we headed to Bass Pro Shop to walk off some of our food.

Tuesday we woke up to fairly cloudy skies.

We headed to the pool for some quick time because the rain was supposed to be coming in around lunchtime.

Once the rain started, we were pretty lazy. I got ready, and we all read some. Then, we eventually headed out to ride around some and stopped to eat an early dinner at this cute Irish Pub that was right on the beach! We loved the fun atmosphere! The food was great too!

We got back to the campground early and headed for a walk on the beach.

Wednesday, we woke up to more cloudy skies. It didn’t deter us too much.

Addison rode her scooter a bit.

We headed to the beach for some friend time.

Then we headed to the pool.

We cooked at camp that night and enjoyed time with lots of friends. Of course, I forgot to snap any pictures.

Thursday morning, we woke up to rain. We headed out to Dino’s, a favorite, to get breakfast.

And, since it was still raining, we headed on to Duck Donuts to get some sweets to have at camp. It was delicious in there! So many choices!

Once back at camp, we went to the indoor pool for a bit. Then, we got ready for dinner at Hamburger Joe’s, another must place. Their Gold Wings are the best wings I have ever had, and I look forward to them every year!

After dinner, we headed to play some mini golf. Thank goodness it wasn’t too hot and not really humid. This is very out of the ordinary, but we will take it!

On every half hour, the pirate’s put on a little show including “cannon firing”. It’s exciting and cute!

Mom was the champion of golf. I was not. Haha!

Friday, we woke up to some rain in the area. We headed to the indoor pool, along with many others while it rained. LOL

Thankfully, it didn’t last long, and we could get in a few hours of beach time.

Friday night, we headed to eat at Carolina Roadhouse. It’s also a favorite, and it was delicious like always. After our meal, we headed to the outdoor shopping area, “Broadway at the Beach”.

Addison talked mom and dad into doing the bungee jumping thing. We did some shopping and lots of photo stops. 😉

While we were at Broadway, Addison got a Surfer Dude.

It was so super cute, and she played with it for a really long time on Saturday. It does actually work! It’s actually really well made, and I feel like it will last for many years. Hers is the Aussie Alice one.

They had an Italian Ice cart that walked up and down the beach, so it was the perfect little pick me up when you were so hot.

Saturday night we went to Calabash, NC to eat our final night of seafood. We went with our friends, Charles and Teresa.

After dinner, we headed out to see the fishing boats.

On the way back to camp, we saw these giant turtles. We stopped, and they were so neat!

Once we got back to the campground, we did one last walking loop around the park and on the beach. It was a beautiful night.

I’m always sad to leave this little place. I’ve been coming for so long, it really does feel like my home away from home. Until next time.

If you made it all the way through my post, thank you! I will see you back here on Friday, friends!
