Hey friends!!! I’m BACK!!! I know it’s been a while, but I’m happy to be back in this little blog world. I have so much to share with you, but I am not doing that in today’s blog. I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend celebrating America’s Birthday!
Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend.
We went on a long 2 week vacation and got home about 1:00 on Saturday afternoon. We really tried hard to get home in time to celebrate America’s 250th!!!
We spent a very hot afternoon unloading and unpacking.
So, my recap starts Saturday evening. We had no food in the house to cook the typical all American meal, so what do we do, go get Mexican. Queso is for sure American! Haha!
Saturday evening, Cindy and the family met us to watch the fireworks.
The girls enjoyed playing while they waited.
They were looking cute and oh so grown. 🙁
Wasn’t this just last year… Wahhhhh!!!
Then they moved on to pop its and sparklers.
We sat and enjoyed the show and scooted on out for home.
It was so wonderful to sleep in my own bed!!! Glorious!
We had a lot of errands and stores to run to yesterday.
We tried to have a little pool time yesterday afternoon. A thunderstrom rolled in and changed those plans.
In between doing 4 zillion loads of laundry. I decided to make some Kamut bread.
Being my first attempt, it turned out pretty good.
Addison’s quote “Mom, it’s a little doughy”. Leave it to kids to not hold back.
Last night, I continued with some more laundry. Then, we sat down for some TV and reading time. 🙂
Have a great week, everyone!
I’ll see ya back on Wednesday!

So glad you got home in time for fireworks and some celebrating! Can’t wait to read all about your trip 🙂
Thanks, Holly! It’s good to be home. 🙂
Trips are fun but its always a treat to be back home in our own beds! Kids grow up way too fast! I remember like yesterday my kiddos doing sparklers… now most of mine are adults now 🙁 Where does time go?
Yes! It goes by way too fast! I hope you had a great holiday weekend!
