**A Day in the Life** {4.6.2022}
Today, I’m sharing a random Day in the Life on a Thursday. I tried to remember to document throughout the day, but of course, I got a little sidetracked.
Up bright and early and ready to get the day going.
I start getting Addison up about 5:45. I usually already have her breakfast ready and on the table. So she can start eating after I get her dressed.
I eat, drink my coffee and read some blogs.
Of course I forgot to document our drop off. We usually leave the house around 6:15. I drop her off, at school, right when they open at 6:30.
I have to be at work and on car rider duty at 7:00.
Being an EIP teacher this year, I’m all over the school and teach multiple grades. I pick up some Kindergarteners at 7:35 and bring them to my room for ELA. For the next class, I am off to 1st grade ELA.
After that, I have a short break. Just long enough to go to the bathroom, drink my pink drink/snack, then I did some looking at Math standards and planning.
After my break, I picked up the 4th graders for a little Math. They enjoyed working on Line Plots with jumping frogs and plotting all the frog jumps.
After 4th grade Math, I go to 5th grade ELA.
Then, it is time for lunch. This day, I had an English muffin with chicken lunch meat, a yogurt, some grapes, and a Body Armor Lite drink.
After lunch, I go to 1st grade Math. We had some fun with the Osmos working on Addition.
After 1st grade, I move on to 2nd grade ELA. Then, I have planning starting at 1:30 until the rest of the day.
Some teacher friends and I have started jogging on Tuesdays and Thursdays when we can. This day happened to be a day we could make it work! So, we met up at 2:30 and jogged until about 3.
Then, we had grade level meetings after that.
Here I am getting in my car to leave and go get A at school.
But first, I grabbed a refresher. I needed some energy.
I had put on the Chicken Tetrazzini in the slow cooker that morning. So, I was thankful all I had to do was make some Brussels Sprouts in the air fryer and add some whole grain noodles. Dinner done.
After dinner, despite Addison’s broken leg, they still ask that she come to dance to watch so she won’t forget the routine for the recital. So, we left the house about 5:45 and got back home around 8.
We did a quick brush of the teeth, brushed the hair, wiped down, and put on pajamas before tucking her in for the night.
Then, I did my normal night routine- prepared my lunch, washed my face, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, and worked on my blog post to publish the next day- Friday Favorites. 😉
I sat in bed and read for a little while. Then, I was off to bed about 10. Some nights, bedtime is 9; it just depends on what we have going on.
I can’t let today go by without wishing my Mama, my best friend, a Happy Birthday!!
If I ever need advice, a laugh, a good cry, or even a loaf of bread, I know who to call. She’s always there for all of us. She’s the most selfless woman I know and one of only 2 people that I know that has a love of Zero candy bars. We share clothes and shoes and talk on the phone multiple times a day. I am blessed to have her as my Mom, and she sure is my guardian angel on Earth. I’m sharing some pictures to remember these sweet memories.
And here’s a real throwback to pre kids when we would all go on vacay together. Oh, the fun times and laughs we had. #dontdoubtdot
That’s it for today! And, I’m taking off the rest of the week to enjoy time with my family. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and a wonderful weekend!

That sounds like a great day in life! I almost always forget to snap some photos along the way too.
