July 8, 2019/Comments Off on *Weekend Recap & 4th of July Highlights*
We had a great weekend!! Today I am going to be sharing about what we did on the 4th and our weekend!! 🙂
We woke up bright and early to go to the morning parade. Thankfully Joey’s family got there ahead of us to save us a spot…. in the shade!! #thankyouthankyou
It’s always a precious little parade… We love going. It just feels so homey and southern. Everybody is so nice and they not only give out candy but also beaded necklaces, flags and this time even stuffed animals!
Sweet cousin time!
After we left the parade, we went to visit with one of Joey’s Granny’s. When we got there, his Aunt was there as well. #greatsurprise
We had a sweet visit, and she was excited to see Addison.
We hurried back to Parade #2 in our town. My 89 year old Papa was driving in the parade, so we wanted to make sure we didn’t miss it! #watchoutforpapa #cueleegreenwood
We had some quality family time while we waited for the parade to begin and waited for the fireworks.
Addison loves her Papaw. He’s wearing her necklace and her bracelet. #granddaughters
After we watched the parade, we were really thirsty and hungry. Addison would not stop eating rolls. She kept going to anyone who would feed her more rolls. She ate 6 rolls!!!
Here she is with her Nonna. She knows she won’t say no. #momcantwin #sneaky
Friday, we didn’t do a whole lot. We ran to Home Goods and played around the house.
Saturday, we finally went to see Toy Story 4!! I was a little nervous about how Addison would do, considering this would be her first movie in a theater. Overall, she did great! We just had to keep stuffing her with popcorn and candy. I think she ate a whole pack of m&m’s. Oh well, you only live once. #itsmymotto
We had fun and can’t wait to go back to the movies!!
My sister n’ law and I have birthdays that are just days apart. (I won’t discuss our age) 😉
Saturday night, we all went out together with Joey’s Mom and family. We had a great time and lots of laughs. I guess we were having so much fun, I forgot to take any pictures. Ha!
Sunday, we went to Church, then went to Costco. We just lazed around and ate at my parent’s house for Sunday supper. It was a great weekend spent with family.
See you back here on Wednesday. We are off to start swimming lessons today. Wish us luck and no crying.
