Hello Friends!! Happy Wednesday!
Today, I am doing a Spring Break recap of Gulf Shores, Alabama. In our car was Mom, Aunt Dot, Addison, cousins- Remington & Emerson, and me. Later that day, Caroline and her girls, and Britney and her kiddos were arriving.
We arrived on the Monday after Easter. The weather was very chilly and gloomy. We all had on sweatshirts.
When we arrived, we couldn’t get in our house yet, so we headed to the playground at Gulf State Park.
We got all settled in our house, and that Monday happened to be my Mama’s birthday. It was a great area because we were able to walk to some shops and restaurants. So, after unloading and unpacking, we decided to walk to get some food.
We celebrated Mama’s Day! She makes it easy to celebrate her! She’s very much loved!
Once we were back at the house, we decided we needed to get some things at the store. Mom & Aunt Dot decided to go and made a pitstop at Parlour Donuts. Yum!
Aunt Dot bypassed the donuts and went straight to the frozen drink. Haha!
Mom opened some of her birthday gifts.
Our house was great and fit all of our wild crew! The location was great, as it was just a short block away from the ocean.
Tuesday morning, we all headed out and to the beach. I felt like I was back in school saying ‘Line Up. Everyone straight line. Hold hands.’ Haha!
The Perfect Mesh Beach Bag with Pockets from Amazon.
We all played hard on Tuesday with a lot of sand digging and sculpting and lots of ocean playing too!
Look at this sweet crew! They built a sea turtle in the sand with shells.
Our house had a pool right behind it which was also a great thing!
After a day of fun, we got all cleaned up and headed out for an Easter egg hunt because why not.
Our sweet zoo crew.
Everyone was so tired and headed to bed fairly early. We were not mad about it.
Tuesday morning, we were up and making breakfast. We had a great assembly line going.
We decided to make a trip back to the park with everyone this time.
Then we decided to walk across the lake on the boardwalk.
After our little field trip, we headed back to the house and on to the beach.
We went in a little earlier that day to get ready. Everyone was going out to eat together since Brit was leaving to head home early the next morning.
We went to eat at the Old Oyster Factory.
The adults were stuffed to the brim, but the children can always make more room for ice cream.
Thursday morning, Brit and her crew headed home.
We went down to the beach for a little while, but the wind and sand were brutal. We were all freezing, and we were getting sand blasted.
Caroline and the girls were packing up to head home that afternoon, so we headed on up to help them.
Then the girls decided to play in the pool for a bit. The weather wasn’t so windy up there.
That night, we headed to GT’s on the Bay. Super cool place!
It had an indoor pond/fish tank.
Then outside, you could walk way out on the docks.
It was great because we had over an hour wait.
The girls also enjoyed the playground area.
I ordered the Surf n’ Turf with Filet & Shrimp, and it was oh so delicious!
One more pic before ending the night.
Friday morning, we packed up early and headed back to GA. Of course traffic was no fun, so we had to make a lot of detours and back road driving.
We had a great trip, and I’m so glad we all were able to go and be together! Everyone got along great, and I’m sure they will remember this trip being with 10 kids. Haha! We are pretty crazy.
I’ll see ya back on Friday!
